I applied for a butcher job oppening, various administrator jobs, teacher assistant, construction worker, waiter, cook, asistant cook and Santa Clause.

That wide enough?
Now all you need to do is apply for a porn star position and that's as wide as one can get Laughing

What do you think he did before? J Browman

Sucks though Vaifan Sad

No option to maybe move a bit closer to one of the neighbouring countries?

Not really, doesn't matter where I go I'd still need cash for rent/food/transportation.
Which I can only get by getting a job xD

The frustrating thing is that if all else fails, I have the summer job waiting for me. I'll probably start earlier than this year. But sitting around the house until May is not healthy for the mind or the body. Already gained 3kg. Even with jogging every day.

And my mind is going bonkers as well. I'm actually ENJOYING buying and selling ORE and ENERGY CELLS in X3: TC.

Not being able to play BF4 and hearing you guys are dominating the servers without me isn't helping either Sad

I don't think you understand their position. Think all the bullshit they go through day in day out. I doubt they say straight out you're an retard or anything insulting in that fashion, but some customers can't handle not being right about something, and it would be nice to not treat them like your best friend when they stand there yelling at you.

Edit: Forgot to say, Good luck!

When they deliberately try to scam you, and when they assume you know nothing of computers, then yes, I can call them assholes.

Well, the job is great. Office work, great money,pc parts discounts
Except 150 people applied to the job.

The guy hiring already cut that to 50 applicants, and I'm one of them.
And he's gonna cut it again by the end of the week to 10 people.
Then those 10 people have to take a pc general knowledge test. Then the best 2 spend a shift at the store to see how they work.

So not only was the interview the sole basis for whether I still have a chance, even if I get picked,I still have to run the gauntlet two more times...

I have zero fucking chance of getting the job

Why? General knowledge test + working for one shift = easiest way to prove you know your shit in my opinion atleast.

Rather than going through 2 more interviews or some shit.

To put things in perspective:

I applied for some shit a while back, heard from them around a month ago that there were 110 applicants and 5 were chosen so far and next pics are in January.
Then 2 weeks ago I get a call from them that they got a job interview for me 2 days from now.
Imagine my surprise when I actually hear from them.
It's a shame I couldn't make it though but still, even if odds seem against you, sometimes shit just works out anyway.
I for one was sure I would never hear from them..

I dont have a problem with the tests, but with the number of people.
Odds are in 49 people left, there are people more qualified and/or more experienced

150 people for work at a computer shop ? It sounds surreal!
I've been to 4-5 programming job interviews and at none of them had I complete any tests or anything.

Now i see when you said there are no jobs, you weren't fucking around.

good luck!

It's a miracle a store is hiring someone anyway, as no one is working the peoples have no moniez which means people are buying stuff less and less and if this continues stores will have to fire their employees because less people are buying shit.

If they're making interviews and tests like this then they do not look for just qualified and experienced people but someone who really knows their stuff.
You have good chances Smile

Never? For me, every single one had a test. And the company I am at now - almost 3h long "testing".
Firsta technical (programming) test, then an English one, interview with two of the team leaders, finally - interview with vice-president of the company - technical person as well, he gives you problems to solve. And all of that was after being selected from probably a hundred CVs and a phone call both in Polish and English. I've been so exhausted after the interview, I barely knew my name. But it was worth it.

So, Vaifan, good luck! Believe in yourself and have a little more positive attitude!
