This game is bloody brilliant btw. Already played 30 hours in a few days. Landed on a few planets, unlocked the nuclear engine. Up next is building a space station, I think. Game is awesome!
Thanks again to Silent_Lurker for the SG

Oh I see.
Was the possibility to switch to Steam time limited ?
Did you check your profile page on the store if you can still redeem a Steam key ?
______
Also, a lot of mods have been broken by this update, I can't continue my previous save for now.
I have to check if my countdown mod is still alive as well

Updated for 0.23 compatibility.
Fixed a major crash problem caused when set to impact the sun.
Adjusts for tweakable thrust settings.
Tidied up some of the value formatting (including RagnarDa's suggesion by using a modified distance format processor that was already in KER 1.0).
Still Remotech to go and I can continue my previous career.

Everytime you post here Silent_Lurker, I download the latest version of the game. I start full of hope and then I realise that I'm utterly crap at the game. I can barely leave the orbit.
I think it is very important to do the tutorials. I didn't do them at first but watched loads of Youtube videos for what I needed to do. I got really frustrated at one point where I was having trouble just getting into orbit, or if I did get into orbit I had no fuel left. I had done it loads of times before, but I think after getting new parts and starting to build bigger rockets, the way I was using before wasn't working anymore. This simple guide http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Tutorial:_How_to_Get_into_Orbit and the tutorials made it easy.

Learning how to play the game is the fun part.
I just remember my first successful "To the Mun and back" mission, I was so
Once you master the thing, you will go for mods which adds communications, life support, deadly reentry (heat/over G) and so on.
Just learn at your pace and have fun.
There are also some Mods which can help, because I must admit that vanilla game doesn't provide many data regarding masses, delta V, TWR (Thrust to Weight Ratio), ...
Target +4500m/s dV and a TWR over 1.20 and you should be good for a low Kerbin orbit.
Well, fuck. I was about 8s short of fuel for my maneuver burn to get Jebediah Kerman back home from the Mun. So now he's stuck in orbit around the Mun with no way back.
Do those little green bastards ever die from anything other than a speedy impact with a solid object? Or can I eventually somehow mount a rescue mission for him? I don't have any EVA gear or RCS thrusters yet so I don't know how I could get close enough to his capsule without those. But once I get those parts can I get close enough to get his ass and put him in the ship? I guess I'll need that capsule with multiple seats too.
