It would be cool to see it part of the Steam sale but it's probably way too new for that but it would be a good way to get more people on the servers to test.

mini review so far (bout 2 hours)

in 2 hours the most lethal thing Ive found is a fucking banana

it still runs like crap, dunno what your all playing but it runs atrociously (680 gtx, i7 and 16 gigs ram and Im getting low teens in some parts of cherno)

loot is either broken or just doesnt spawn at any kinda sensible rate.

night setting is serverside so only night servers at the min, even if you join an overseas server.

characters dont seem to be saving correctly, on one server Im a man in electro and on the other Im a woman at balota.

mouse no longer is the action key its now F, i suppose ill get used to this.

you cant turn mouse acceleration off

still feels just as clunky as arma to control.

i understand its alpha but the mod runs and plays way better than this at the min (and to be honest doesnt look a whole lot different)

Watching a few streams on twitch right now, and it looks awful, buggy as hell (heads coming out of stairways etc), melee clunky, and non-responsive, contact wise. Whole thing looks rather dated now. Pity, as the concept is rather cool, but I wouldn't pay more than $5 for it, at best.

I quite like some of the changes/additions, but sadly my DayZ hype is nowhere as intense as it used to be months ago. After some hours spent playing the mod the interest got lost both because of the engine limitations and the community, good at first, then damned terrible.
Though I might end up grabbing it from el cheapo when it's 100% ready and bug free Razz (probably never Cool Face)

Yeap, exactly why the best is to save those $30 until 2 years from now when the final version will be out (assuming it won't be dead by then) Smile

you know there is a key binding dialog? Smile
and arma2 preset you can load

no, it's way fucking worse than arma2
X and Y axis are completely out of sync
acceleration and sensitivity changes when i zoom and differently again on freelook
it's just unplayable in any combat until they fix the mouse
i wonder how they got arma3 to be so good but screwed this up while knowing about it

I'm pretty sure that's not Pre-Alpha or Alpha... It's more beta on the verge of releasing it in a couple of months. Or we are going to forgot all the bugged releases we had this year.

Hacks are out already btw. At least ESPs etc are only working if you're 500-600 meters close to the hacker. Which is actually really a huge difference from normal ArmA2. He's still gonna wreck your frace though.

Bought it today.. Played a little after finding some decent loot. After a while I starved and fell unconscious cauz I couldn't find a can opener or knife. (weird my axe, screwdriver and shovel couldn't be used). Game felt pretty good and smooth compared to the mod. Too bad there weren't much zombies around. I axed down about three. I could easily approach them from behind and hit them on the head.

Think I'm gonna try the NFO TS server to group up...
