There is a subtle difference between an always online mode because you claim the game needs it to function, whilst it actually doesn't (lol EA) and including an always online mode without lying about it.  |

Did you reset your profile as recommended at each update ?
(Nuke dah "default.sav" file in 'Mydocs/CARS/Profiles' folder)

Pax, regarding your "gear" bug. Did you delete your cars folder after the last updates? If not, did you at least reset your custom car tunings?! If not -> reset your car tunings

After reading the last few pages, it's starting to sound like the game is more important than it actually is.
It's the devs' own fault - when you build a closed user base as they have, they begin to believe their own hype from within their own ranks - and lets be honest, these closed user bases are often or not totally accepting of anything that might be done with the game as they feel 'special' - look at the attitude from SC - and that isn't even developed... the core base of backers believe Chris shits rainbows, so any decision he makes is gold. And I'm seeing that in this game too.
Next they'll start changing more obvious stuff with no explanations - cynical people such as Hump residents will pick it up, while the dedicated faithful will swallow it in the same was as bread at holy communion.
I can almost guarantee that when this game is finally opened back up to everyone else (note I say opened, not finished cos I don't think that'll happen for a VERY long time - attention is given to developing games...), it'll be a shadow of it's former, PC orientated self, and will be so consolised, you wonder what all the fuss was about with your newest video card...
