Dude, Aki Berg is AWFUL. He cost us the game. Riberio's goal was because berg couldn't push anyone out of the way. HES BIGGER THAN ALL OF MONTREAL, THEY ARE TINY, AND HE CAN'T MOVE ANYONE!! What an useless cunt. I am so pissed he's still on the team. Cherry called it too. ALSO, WILM ON A LINE WITH WELLWOOD AND DOMI!? Wellwood is a goalscorer, not a checking player. FOR FUCKS SAKE. Just so much irritance with the luines.

Maybe it made things better. After all Wellwood IS playing instead of like Brad Leeb and Steen is on the roster.. maybe it was a slight improvement.

Wellwood is decent but Berg has to go...and we really do need Sundin back. I think its dangerous to lose ur captain the first game in the season, especially in a season like this one - back after a year break, new roster lineup, big names on the roster etc I dunno, I got the impression that the guys were looking to Lindros for a lil leadership, u notice that? Lindros would usually start a 3 or 4 minutes rush or do something to get the leafs going...I hate Lindros and this is a bad sign as if he had a big enough fan base in Toronto, I'd think he'd try to sneak his way into the captains chair...maybe his mom can work out a deal?

Oh no, he's a good player, thats not what i mean. I just dont like him and i would never want to see Lindros leading the leafs on the ice - the thought makes me sick..I dunno how old u are, but i remember when lindros was drafted and all that shit happened with his mommy - she didnt want him playing for quebec and he refused to put the jersey on and shit like that. I mean fuck, if i was a rookie trying to get into the NHL, i'd be happy gettin on the fuckin Columbus team for christ sake...just to get ur foot in the door ya know?
That ruined his whole image in my view...he's a good hockey player, but for sure, not leader material. |

Berg does suck.. but so does Belak and Domi too.. both useless and taking ice time from the kids that could contribute more.
Anyone who backs up domi is an idiot and doesn't know hockey.. yeah he scored on saturday but that was a brutal goal that shouldn't have happened.
Those 3 clowns are taking in like 4.5 mil in total that could've went to 1 or 2 decent players.

I dunno, Domi isnt the best skater around, but he's not bad and he's tough. We need a few enforcers that are tough as nails. Lindros is too soft, had to many concusions and antropov is big tall dumb fuck sissy...Domi's the little scraper and fighter. We need him on the the ice to get under the skin of the other team....hockey is so much more than just being a good goal scorer or playmaker....rattling the other team up allowing ur team to get the advantage as they're not rattled is one example that the team needs but many totally disregard.
U think they do all that shit talkin on the ice for nothing? nope, its to psych one another out. |

I back Domi and I reckon I know more about hockey then you.
Domi is a scrapper with a decent set of hands, good speed and plays at 100% intensity in every game. You need to think before you talk shit about him. Domi is the kind of scrapper every team would want.

Domi has been virtually invisible on the ice. He's had no impact this year, except for two garbage goals. I'd certainly rather many other scrappers than Domi. He was signed to try and get Roberts and Niewendyk to return, and they didn't. Probably JFJ's biggest mistake.

Alright, I can understand a bit where your coming from and I should've explained myself a bit more on the domi comment but anyone who knows hockey see's that domi is more of a liability then a true player.
one thing.. Domi does not have Good hands.. far from it. He can skate and puts everything he has on the ice but that still isn't enough.
The Kids deserve the ice time. The money that went to Domi, Belak and Berg could've went to 1 player who would contribute more then all 3 of them.
Wellwood might play 20 games for the leafs and still end up with more points then domi.

I agree but that's like comparing Markus Naslund to Kris Draper, you don't expect Naslund to be helping much on the defensive side and you expect big numbers from him offensively.
Wellwood ain't tough and he plays a different style of hockey then Domi, I think for a scrapper Domi is good and I'd rather have Iggy but Domi will do.
