It's works fine.....i've burned CD 1 with the latest Alcohol 120 version with Safedisc 2/3 settings and i have no problems.....no mounting,no MDS image...so i can be happy

Hmm.. alright well I tried reburning it using safedisc2/3. I even reinstalled it using the burned first disc. All that happens is it shows the splash screen, waits about 4 minutes, and then it says it can't find the cd. I really don't understand it unless there's something I'm missing

Hi,
I just downloaded Black.And.White.2.CloneCD.Images-NOBODY, but I simply can't run it!
This is what I do:
1) I downloaded the game
2) Got DAEMON TOOLS
3) Mounted the 1st cd, then I started the Installation proccess
4) When it asks for cd 2/3/4, I minimized the screen and mounted those cds
5) When the installation was over, I mounted the 1st CD.
But the game doesn't run, instead it asks me to insert the correct cd-rom!
I've tried to run the game by mounting a NO-CD fix, but still doesn't work!
Can anybody help me???
I would be very appreciated.

in case you got clonecd on your system, uninstall it.

Is there a way to burn this back onto CD and have it work to play? I'm running a 64bit machine and Daemon is not yet supported for it. I installed the game but I need to somehow get it to recognize a CD.

Yeah I really like it too, don't know why so many ppl are complaining!
Everything that annoyed me about B&W1 is gone, its nice to build ur own villages and fight to take others. The new system to raise ur pet is way better too. I only played a few hours so I hope it doesn't get boring fast, and I'm curious about the miracle stuff and how that works, but I really like it. |
Im really liking it too...I dont know why so many complain. Its not that innovative in terms of new content, but still quite a good game...how ever, this game has taken the back burner to Sniper Elite (fanatisc game) and BIA2...too many games to play... |

I installed B&W2 using the CloneDVD release. At 99% complete I get an error that says. "CRC Error: The file "c:\program files\lionhead studios\black & White 2\Audio\Dialogue\Speech.lug doesn't match the file in the setup's .cab file. The medium from which you are running the setup may be corrupted;contact your software vendor",it's when they show the ATI female this message pops up. But the install finishes. I have the nobody 4 cd version also and were just about to delete them. Does this CRC mess up any feayires for me ingame,such as sounds? Should I install the 4 cd nobody release instead? Because I have downloaded the Clonedvd twice now and it's the same error each time I mount it using the latest version of Daemon tools and install.

For one thing, the quality of writable DVDs is still a bit of a question mark, unlike the quality of writable CDs.
Second, maybe people don't like to hassle around with different types of programs to get the game actually working. Insert and install still works best for me.
Though I would also prefer that more publishers start to bring out their games on DVD rather than multiple CDs. In that aspect, it is indeed a waste of space and money!

Maybe because they are spoiled by the amount of games available for download, so that they actually end up playing something that was not intended to amuse them in the first place. I.e. they'll always find something to complain about..

This game is really bad coded , i dont get it cant even hit 30fps on 1024x768 on A643200+ 1Gigs of ram and a 6800 card. Otherwise good game but i cant stand playing while its so slow and laggy.

Okay so I can't get this game to run....
I installed and patched the game...
I got into Alcohol 120 and mount the cd onthe drive and set all emulations on and then I close alcohol.
I run the game and I get 'CD/DVD emulation software has been detected. Please disable all CD/DVD emulation software and re-start the game'
I disable the the cd drive but Odviously I can't run the game without the cd in a drive
So I tried virtual-cd-hide and hide the drive and run the game....nothing... I get the same error...
I tried with DM tools latest version as well with and without virtual cd hide and I stilll get the same shit...
What the hell can I do?

Do you have CloneCD installed? If so, uninstall it and try again

did anyone else having probs extracting cd2 and cd3. i'm getting CRC errors with twk-bw2b.r15 and twk-bw2c.r45. im tried getting those 2 rars multiple times but still get CRC errors

Having some issues here. my game freezes every 30sec's i have dled the 1.1 patch and are running the latest nvidia driver. anybody else have this problem?
It mught be soundrelated to but i'm running the latest drivers there to, pisses me of bigTime
BTW, since the dumbasses at EA put this on an open ftp it's ok to link to it i presume!

And some more fun stuff:
Remember the creatures of BW1, towering over your cities? For those that miss them, and was hoping for creatures as big as in the preview screenshots for B&W2, here's the simple way to change them.
A couple warnings first:
Altering the game data files is at your own risk.
Make a backup of any file before you edit it.
Making the creature TOO large will cause it to not be able to move around in many places.
That being said, I haven't had many problems with the size I made my creature. But if certain buildings are too close together he may get stuck sometimes causing you to destroy a building... but it's worth it for me 
To do it, go into the Black & White 2 folder and find the Data folder, then from there go into the Balance folder. Open the file GameBalanceCreature.txt and find the line where it says "ANY_CREATURE_HERE" (it is near the top). Now edit the fourth number in that line, which should be 11.55, to whatever you want. If you, make it 46.20. He will still be able to move around in most places and get through wall gates.
This edits the max height of ALL creatures in the game. So expect that when you save it

I still have that problem with infinite triangles, and wierd graphical glitches coming out of my animal, anyone know of a way to fix this?
I'm running a 6800 ultra, 81.85 drivers, and BW2 patched to 1.01.
