Hopefully they've properly implemented it and not just kludged that shit together like the community was forced to do. Smile

Oh, but that's impossible. Isn't whining about something pointless (I don't even know if these are the words I'm looking for, but hey...)?!

See?! See how gamers can make devs fix something if they make their voices heard? Rise of the Triad and now this! There might still be some hope left in this world!

An hour later...

The expansion is coming to Windows, Mac, and Linux in January, 2014 It’ll cost $14.99 alone, or $24.99 for the original game and expansion together.

@DarkRohirrim

Sadly this only seems to work with smaller devs Sad You could scream until you're blue in the face at Activision or EA and they'll never change because they simply don't "need" to - they've got 2-10m other suckers that'll just accept everything as-is Sad

Who cares about Activision or EA though?! It's also a thing that seems to sort of work with Eidos Montreal. Let's hope they add jumping now, haha!

I wonder if they are going to have skinnier female trolls (like in the picture) and orcs or if we are going to get stuck with that same body size of each from the first game again. Hopefully they update the visuals some to give us cool cybernetics like that girl in the picture as well.

Microsoft may be huge cocks but they did right by HBS by lowering the restrictions on the license and allowing them to sell DRM-free copies of the game. Grudging (extremely grudging...) respect for that at least.

Just saw they are testing patch 1.1.1 and one of the additions that seems promising is:

- Manual zoom-in distance increased when HD textures are enabled.

I wonder if it will allow as much zoom range as the debug console did as it would be nice to have the character much closer and not have to redo it after any interaction like you did with the debug menu tweak.

There is a GOG version floating around so I got that and re-installed the game and it's nice to see they added the Hi-Res Scale Mode. Kind of wish that option existed on my previous 3 runs but at least it will make Dragonfall much better since the text and HUD is much bigger now at 1080p with that enabled. It seems backers can get free GOG keys if they request one from HBS so that must be why a few popped up recently in the giveaway section. It would be nice to have a legit copy just for the patches so I guess I will have to keep my eyes peeled to the giveaway section some more.

Whining and nagging always work. It's just that people get so irritated with it they claim it doesn't and it eventually becomes the voice of reason™.

I think there will still be a couple more patches since they are supposed to add the ability to save anywhere into the original campaign once they release Dragonfall.
