Actually, i'd love to see bloody Catherine and the Persona series on PC. A man can dream.... Rolling Eyes

Sega will frag the Persona franchise in their usual manner. They had Valkyria Chronicles, Alpha Protocol ( common Sega, give Obsidian their game back...) and Binary Domain. All three titles are now considered cult titles. And yet Sega just sit on the IP's....

Creative Assembly ( they should drop the Creative part by now ) is OWNED by SEGA. So, the game it's developed and published by SEGA.

Always thought that Sega was a terrible PC publisher.

Rome 2, A:CM, CoH2, among other terribly supported games.

A:CM received plenty of post launch PC support. The other two don't know, can't say.

Company of Heroes 2 is updated frequently although it also gets frequent DLC releases, there's achievements for a upcoming "theater of war" pack too. Smile

Rome 2 will probably be the same, mix of patches and DLC but they're also using the Steam beta functionality to test changes with the community, so far though both the first and second major update have launched without additional fixes compared to the beta version.

How you dare challenge tonizito's equanimous and justified statements Cool Face

Rome 2 is receiving great support so far as well. Of course that's completely irrespective of the poor shape of the game on release date.

The other one, i can't say

No idea where to post this but this seemed to be the most recent Sega thread. Smile

Quote:

According to Bloomberg, Sega Sammy Holdings, Inc., the parent company for Sega, has won an auction to buy Index Corp., the parent company of Atlus.

A source close to the situation told Bloomberg that the acquisition is valued at ¥14 billion (around $141 million). The source also said that Index's bankruptcy advisers plan to complete their deal with Sega Corp. by early November.

They expect Sega and Index to make an official announcement later today.

No idea if that means anything, I know Atlus or rather I've heard of it but only by name, no idea what they produce.

EDIT: Ah so that's where I've heard of them, they are publishing that Tex Murphy game that got kickstarted a while back.
http://www.shacknews.com/article/81178/sega-purchases-atlus-parent-company-index-for-141-million
(Plus a few console-only franchises.)

Atlus is one of the best Jrpg makers, and makes the Persona/Megami Tensei series.

If they come to pc Me Gusta PC Master Race

Sega seems pretty spotty when it comes to publishing lately, but I'm at least hoping they leave Atlus as Atlus and with autonomy to handle their own games, otherwise it's just another case of "RIP once awesome company" Sad And for god's sake, Sega, stop dicking around and released Skies of Arcadia HD and Shenmue HD ffs! >:[

sega is one of the worst publishers of the last decade, they had so many developers with truly great games which never sold even close to as how much they could have thanks to sega´s shitty marketing.
latest example: binary domain.

It's a shame that they didn't bring that on PC. Definitely would have sold more. And ffs. Sega! Sell the Alpha Protocol IP to Obsidian for peanuts. It's a shame to keep such franchise under your butt and doing nothing with it.

Looking to what Relic is becoming, i'm not very optimistic about Atlus. If Sega would have some brains, they should bring Persona and Catherine on PC. That would be beautiful. Plus they have plenty of other goodies that they've mishandled ( already named way too may times to list them again Mr. Green )

I found it perfectly fine with gamepad to be honest (and I think it's clear by now that I can't deal with shooters on gamepads at all Laughing) - I'd still use KB/M given the choice.

Do want for PC though Sad

Definitely optimistic about all those companies that Sega acquired lately ( Relic and Atlus ). When the frag the corporations will learn that their best resource is the human resource......

A PC port of Skies of Arcadia would be sweet, especially since the GC port keeps freezing and generally runs like crap every time I try to play it on Dolphin. Can't see it ever happening though.
