I'm just waiting for £20 to be paid into my PayPal account, it's going on Dayz as soon as it's in.
Is a Mic a must for this game? I can't imagine typing friendly quickly enough!!

unplayble as of right now, no it's not because "fist-running" (having fist up).
I've submitted a bug+logs to the tracker yesterday, already upvoted.
Teleport/rubberbanding/freeze, alt-f4 only way to remedy

Lots of issues right now, yellow links ( they are bad ) in game all the time here..

It's propably because of the DDoS. Since SA is Steamworks now, gameplay is affected by it. Friend who plays TF2 says that everyone has lagspikes all day too.

Oh, I thought that all items are randomised in this game, as in they don't always spawn at the same point. However, if they do, doesn't it take away from the fun? I mean even if you die, you just take a look at the map and know where to go for supplies/weapons/etc. I'm not saying that loot should be randomised on every single game start-up, but e.g. a weekly (or even monthly) loot randomisation would go a long way to ensure longevity.
I'm quite interested in this title, but definitely need to see/play a demo before I commit any funds to it.

The items on that map are still somewhat randomized as it's not just 1 item for each of those dots, it's from a list so you may or may not find the item you are looking for there and also it will depend on the servers last reset as most of the stuff may be gone by the time you would get there anyways.

Sooooo how do you open the map in DayZ Standalone? I found the map and when I pressed M it did nothing. Then I noticed that the map key was unbound in config, so I changed it to M.
So now when I press M there's just black screen and on the left there's a table that I can choose from- map (which is nothing but a black screen) and players (which shows the players)
Any help?

Works kinda odd atm. The idea is to drag the part of the map you found to your hotkeybar and just press that key to open the piece you found.

Nothing odd about it. You have to put the map in your hands to use it. Like almost every other item.

servers are still majorly fucked up.. yellow links etc., and its performance seems hampered by these issues for sure.. Mate can not even get in battleye tells he has issues

Is the rubberbanding definitely fixed? I've been holding off the past couple of days from buying because of this.
