Ok, I'm installing the base game now, RLD version.

Then I'll update to 1.03 and install the Extended Cut DLC, right ?

Does the Citadel DLC improve the main game or is it a standalone adventure ?

Incorporates into the main game and is VERY much recommended, if only just for the fan service and the touching farewell to the characters.

If you haven't played it previously, play the game to completion first and enjoy the magnificent ending in all its glory. After the credits roll, you'll get a save back at the point of no return, which is when you should do the Citadel DLC. Don't do it earlier than the point of no return, or you may miss out on content. If you have the other DLC though (Omega, Leviathan) you can do those whenever you want.

If you ever decide to do a second playthough, just get to the point of no return, do the Citadel DLC, then uninstall. Probably the best way to experience it.

Wait, what? Why would you play Citadel *after* the main game? Citadel ties into the story perfectly, adding new content and expanding others, I see no reason whatsoever to finish the game first and then go back to play Citadel. Same with Omega and Leviathan Neutral Pretty much everyone has the order being; Citadel mission prior to "Priorty: Rannoch" and then Shore Leave party before "Priority: Cerberus HQ"

Seriously, DON'T leave Citadel until after you finish the game. Just don't.

Without too many spoilers for those that haven't played it: don't do Citadel before the point of no return if you like Miranda.

You're going to have to put that in a spoiler tag for me then, so I can understand. Maybe I'm missing something critical because the PNR is "Priority: Cerberus HQ" and saying to play Citadel *after* you've played that makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever Neutral What am I missing here? Seriously, just look on other forums for the "recommended playing order" and you'll see an overwhelming reply; "Citadel DLC mission before Rannoch, Shore Party before CerbHQ" and that's exactly how I played it on my last run a few months back.

Well to clarify, not before reaching it. It's the point of no return, so obviously afterwards there's....no return - you get pitched into the endgame. Basically once you get told "this is it", that's the time to do the Citdael DLC.

As to the reasoning:

You can do the Citadel DLC *mission* before Rannoch and then you do the Party before PNR. Horizon is *not* the PNR, it's the mission before the PNR, so you can do that just fine depending on the outcome. I'm serious, the overwhelming accepted order is this one, that's how I did it and everything worked great - though, again, depends on your choices throughout the game.

Citadel DLC mission before Rannoch, Shore Party before CerbHQ (or put another way, after Horizon)

Whichever order you play it in, I definitely disagree that loading the PNR save game once you've beaten the game is the best way to do it. It's simply too disjointed :\

The reason I say to do it afterwards is simple. I'd much rather go out on that note than wrap up with the bitter taste of the ending. As far as being disjointed, I find it better to believe that the Bioware ending was just one of Shepard's retarded PTSD episodes and go with a head cannon ending after the end of Citadel. Even the most dire fanfiction couldn't be worse than what Walters and Hudson shat out.

That's why you should install MEHEM. In my opinion, that's how the saga SHOULD have ended.. not that "Starchild 3 bad choices fuck you haha" nonsense. That way you get the big party with all your crew and friends, before the final battle.

I just realized I never played that Citadel DLC. But then again I have legit ME3 and I didn't want to buy it, and I'm not sure about pirating it.

My fucking god what a piece of shit ending to the trilogy. Those "choices" were so bad and the explanation of the Reapers so non-sensical that as I was walking towards the "control" ending I turned around a shot the starshitchild hologram and it actually registered it. So I got a fucking pice of bullshit ending that shows nothing and explains nothing.

Then I saw the 3 main endings in YT and they are all the same basically. And they suck.

That was bad, really bad. As a game it was nothing special, I enjoyed Mass Effect 2 much more. At least there the story made sense and the choices mattered.

Excuse me while I wipe Bioware's spit off my face.

When I finally decided to finish this Mess Effect a few months ago after reading the infinite list of complaints about the ending (without knowing anything about it)I was literally prepared for the worst, and yet the game managed to let me down in such a profound manner that I still can't figure out how in hell they managed to come up with something so illogical, incoherent and honestly, extremely stupid.

I guess that's some form of talent, too Laughing Razz

yup, how disappointing. 3 games, an epic universe/story, all ending the way many good things in life do: in the toilet.

On the upside, other games I play that have bad endings can at least be put into perspective as I think "well, at least it wasn't like ME3..."

But, to quote from the IGN forums:

Quote:
I actually like that ending. Shepard stays true to himself despite Bioware forcing most of his character progression on us and Liara becomes a VI for the next 50,000 years. She already made the little VI box thingy anyway.

Would hate for Liara's work to go to waste, after all.

I was thinking of getting this game just for the coop ( i played it a lot and enjoyed it on xbox)

So i have 2 questions:

1- Is the mp still active, can you get into games easily or is it more like dead?

2- If its still worth it, where can i get a key that is cheap?

Regards.

I think it's too late to invest in the MP, it has been many months since it's out.

Was just browsing the oficial forums on the MP section, they seem to think its still worth it and you can get a game going pretty fast still.

What i need is a reliable digital site to get a key.. so if you know of any, please do tell, even if MP is dead i still wanna get this game no matter what, (even with the crappy finale its still a top notch game) and im a big fan of the first and second game.

Just buy it from origin, it's 10 euro. You won't find much lower than that.

I can't guarantee for this store since I had only one purchase, but I bought FIFA 14 as a presend for a friend and it worked fine (it's also Origin key). They have ME3 for less than 10 euros and ME Trilogy for 16.

That's weird. I checked Origin again and it's sure as heck 10 euros. Anyway, you can also check gamingdragons.com. Bought a bunch of games from them, recommend it.
