Yes! Yes! Yes!

I hope it's like DCotE up until the pew pew part, the chase segment is so tense, one of my favorite parts in any game ever.

"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

CoC is a setting, not a game. There have been a few CoC games before, DCotE is just one of them.

lol, i`m suprised how many people here dont know about cthulhu. name, remake? its a setting, IP if you will, just like LotR.

Also dark corners of the earth was good but buggy as fuck, had one glitch near the end of the game which stopped me from finishing it lol, had to replace saves cuz nothing else would help. But atmosphere wise it was an amazing game.

lol I remember that one. I really had fun the experience and atmosphere were top notch, but near the end Rocks just kept collapsing on my ass so fast I just couldn't be bothered to finish it.

I liked Dark Corners overall, but stopped playing at the first chase sequence. I hate pre-determined action crap like that.

I'm a sucker for anything Call of Cthulhu (I know it sounds old-fashioned, but: READ the short stories by H.P. Lovecraft, they are fuckin' ACE!), so bring this one on as well.

Shadow of the Comet.

Secret World and Age of Conan both have a bunch of Lovecraftian stuff as well.

Hmm, didn't know about Howard having penned some Cthulhu-related stuff. Very well, I stand corrected, thanks.

Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land

Dunno if it's available on other platforms than iOS though. It's a turn based RPG.

I loved Dark Corners of the Earth when it came out. But whenever I try replaying it the game always freezes in the same spot.

You can finish it. It's at the end. you are on a hidden timer and have to outrun the explosion or rock or something. Dont remember. It's releated to framerate. Just limit it to 30/60 or something for that part. Or use a fan patch.

or some other mod. I think its linked somewhere on steam guides

Not that. It's towards the beginning of the game when you find a hanging body in a basement. Whenever I look at the body the game freezes.

Don't look at it then? I remember from my playthrough there are a couple of moments like that that I had to not enter/look towards a room/direction..
