God damn ingame battlelog often lying about next map. Check it after round ends, see a good map comes up next, and then LOADING LANCANG DAM!
Lancang Dam, the only map where you can baserape enemies.. from your base!
I generally like BF4's maps but there are some concepts that I find unexplainable, like the fact that some of the conquest layouts are designed following a very linear structure, and where there's often a specific point where hordes of people inevitably collide and tactics don't matter anymore. It's almost as if Conquest was Rush-ized
Well Lancang may seem linear because of the horseshoe layout, but if you take into account the huge mass of water (which you should, most people don't even take advantage of naval gameplay in BF4), it's actually vey open. I've yet to see a team corraled in his base on Lancang, and most of the times I see each team holding the flag closer to the enemy's base, on both ends, while the biggest battles usually develop at B and D (plus some boat raping at C ).

One of the problems with that map is (imo) that boats are very easy targets. A couple of angry engineers or a slightly skilled tank driver are more than enough to destroy any attempt to use that part of the map, because you're simply too exposed. Had the bay been larger, everything would have been much more enjoyable and free from constraints. There's just not enough useful "playground" from how I see it.

Takes skilled tank drivers to consistently blow moving attack boats at a decent distance. I get off the boat whenever I see the attack boat driver remaining stationary in front of the enemies, making eveyone onboard a sitting duck. And about the engies and their rocket launchers, it's the same like in every other open vehicle map and boats are not the only kind of vehicles affected
Like I said, naval vehicles (especially the very powerful attack boats) are still very underused in the game. Same goes with the jet skis. I facepalm myself on Shanghai everytime I see the enemy team has all flags and no one takes a freaking jet ski to get to the other side of the river (which is usually deserted) to cap the flags near the enemy's base
Aw, missed whole not able to spawn bug, but first time I got this. And was just playing catch with a tank (and winning).
Sadly the BF4 patch memory leak fix didn't fix my memory leak. First match I tried after the patch was one short round of domination and game leaked 1GB in that alone. Maybe next one does wonders, at least this bug can be fixed with reboot, until it hits again.
On another note ponylionHD's BF4: Peek-A-Boo & BF4: Whiplash vids were epic, reason I started the game again
Well, so I played some BF4 with friends (conquest) and it was fun...because I wasn't giving a shit about how I was performing. ^_^
So yeah, this game become much more fun when I just fuck around like a muppet.

attack boat + tv missile. Enough said
Damn, looks like I really need to enhance my poor boat skills then, and become a true Somalian pirate. Usually when I'm a seaman with my standard equipment (no TV) my average lifespan is ~1 minute . And when someone else is driving, I'm always the first one who gets sniped
