Wow, why such massive upload over download? Isn't it better to have bigger dl speed?

It would of course and I'm not sure where's the hick-up. It's hard to explain but I'll try.
I should have higher results on that end, to say the least. Yeah, living in a student village so I have a community web of some sort, meaning 3500 households share a private network. It can be some jam caused by the village firewall.
I'm so underpriviledged and everything is black.

Okay but get your own sand, I'm not sharing any!
Can I patch my e-peen by saying I'm not paying anything for my bandwidth?

deelix wrote: | ixigia wrote: | That's such a glorious upload speed, you're like the god of seeders. 0.3Mb/s here, no wonder why all the private torrent sites want to kick me out :< | Whats the highest speed available where you live? Im assuming its THAT much more expensive, so not worth it? At least thats what high speed internet was in Norway some years ago. Now most people living in large cities got 50mbit at least. |
Well it is tricky indeed, since fiber isn't available where I live, and the other alternative is an upgrade over my current line. That would sound like a good idea on paper, but sadly the promised 20Mb/s (30€ per month instead of my current 20-ish) are basically a big, fat lie. My rich neighbor has it and the speed isn't much better than my 4Mbit
That's what you get when you live in the italian countryside, but I'm not even mad to be honest, at least the place is great

Buy some rye bread. Should give you all the fiber you need.

Almost in the middle of Cracow (just a bit off the Old City) - 8/1 Mb... For as much as 60/6 Mb from the same ISP.
Old building (kamienica) has no fiber, and probably won't have ever, so we can't have anything from the standard offer, only special (as in special kids, meaning retarded) one. 8, 10 or 12 Mb for ludicrous amounts of money in comparison to the speeds of the rest of the world/city. And we have 8, because in this particular building, even the rest of the retarded offer is not available...

I used to pay separately one phone line (TCom) and my ISP+phone that used the line from TCom, so I payed ~24€ per month, but the speed ( ) was abysmal (1/0.2 Mb), and now everything is on this other ISP (which is in fact a sister firm of TCom, but whatever), and I pay ~28€ for 10/1, but first 3 months bills should be in half because of some deal, so I'm good
