1. You unlock new sectors, and the planets have harder monsters/animals, better loot etc. So basically yes, you do just fly from one to another gathering stuff. I've never built any house on any planet, because i have everything on my spaceship.
2. Yes there are, NPCs give them (on every planet there are some NPCs in their small racial villages)

Are there any quests yet? I think i read some time ago that there would be quests..
Seems like a game that is worth playing in 6 months or a year to get the best experience.

There exists a barebones line of tutorial/introductory quests, but the actual quests aren't implemented yet. So yeah if you aren't itching to see how the game is shaping up at the moment, wait.

The distress beacon is how you summon the first boss. There are others:

ATM, yeah. Although there is much more variation in terrain features than in Terraria, towns, prisons, bases, temples, airships, etc. Fuckton of stuff to discover. Yeah your character and ship will be 100% safe now; the universe might still need a wipe if I remember correctly (though this was just minor compared to character incompatibility between saves - like if they add new biomes, the planets you visited prior to those additions wouldn't be retroactively changed, only new planets you visit).

Anyone know any server with nice and helpful people? The ones i joined all the time had people spamming over chat "invite me pls" and when you did they most probably griefed your ship

Ok so I only played like 30-45mins, game looks really nice. Lots more survival oriented with crafting, and maybe less foraging and building.
But still, I really enjoyed the 30mins I played it. Deserve its own thread I think
