What appears to be the body of a female Swedish politician is discovered in the middle of the Øresund Bridge, which connects Copenhagen in Denmark with Malmö in Sweden. The body, cut in half at the waist, has been placed precisely on the border between the countries, thus falling under the jurisdiction of both the Danish and Swedish police agencies. After further examination, it turns out that the body is that of two separate corpses, with one half belonging to a Danish prostitute. Saga Norén, from the Swedish side, and Martin Rohde, from the Danish, lead the investigation to catch the murderer.
Season II:
Quote:
The second series starts thirteen months after the end of the first series. A coaster veers off course and rams into the Øresund Bridge. Saga arrives on the scene and finds the ship deserted save for five people – three Swedish and two Danish – chained below deck. Saga arranges to have Martin assigned to the case. After the victims on the coaster die from pneumonic plague, a viral video appears in which four disguised eco-terrorists claim responsibility for the incident and embark on further attacks...
I suppose many of you have watched the American remake "The Bridge" starring Diane Kruger and Demian Bichir. I was surpprised to find out that we don't have a thread about the original TV series. So here we are The first season is very similar to the US version but I have to say I did like Sofia Helin portrayal of dat weird female chick detective much more than that of Diane Kruger.
RELEASES
Season 1:

Season 2:
Bron.S02.720p.HDTV.DD5.1.x264-NorTV
The.Bridge.2011.S02.SUBBED.720p.HDTV.x264-C4TV - aired on BBC <<------- I guess we'd better watch these ones because they have BBC English subtitles )
I watched the first series and loved it, I have the second to watch at some point (watched the first couple of episodes)
fow what its worth (and it may be that I downloaded the fan subs early on) I found the fan subs to be poor, the BBC are airing series 2 on sat evening (2 episodes a night) so I am downloading them and waiting for it to finish with the official subs.
It had a decent start though.

Saner is not being serious. Unless its the subject of Santa!
I haven't watched the second season yet, so I have no idea whether fan subs are good or bad.
I guess we are lucky then that BBC is airing the second season I'll probably stick to BBC releases. If they air 2 episodes at once it won't take long before the season finale is available.

My thoughts exactly, I have such a backlog of stuff I wont get around to watching it for a couple of months anyway

I thought she seemed 'worse' in the second series (well what I saw of it) however, I may just be remembering the original wrong, I watched it when it aired.

Personally, I think much of the point of the show is that the two protagonists are so different - and yet they learn so much from each other. Saga got "more normal" towards the end of S1 - because Martin taught her a lot of things and they got so close.
Point of S2, to me, is that she can't overcome her basic nature - and ultimately fails to change her priorities.
Yeah it is no doubt just that I watched it when it aired and am remembering it wrongly.
I may watch S1 again before the second if I find the time.

She's playing a person with Asperger syndrome - and she's doing it well. It will come across as weird to people who're not familiar with it.
Do some research and perhaps you will come to appreciate her acting a lot more.
Uh? Where did u get that I don't appreciate enough her acting? She is practically the main reason I watched this show. And of course I know that she is playing a person with Asperger syndrome.
Anyways, it is good that she is the same as in the first season.

Because you said "acting weird" - which I misinterpreted, sorry.
But we agree that she's the main reason to watch the show. Fantastic acting and fantastic character
I plan to watch Series 2 next week when it finishes airing in the UK

where is a Scandinavian release? :S I can't watch this shit with English subs. I don't understand much of Danish, but it's much less of a strain to have Norwegian subs than English in this one.

Why not just watch them for free and WITH subs at tv.nrk.no?
Honestly can't find it on that site. And accept me on Steam, scrub!
Edit: found it with the help of google and got this shit

It's a typical dark middle act.
I bet the third act will be somewhat brighter.
She's getting a major revamp in the third season because crybabies can't just shut the fuck up and watch the show. Everybody is a sensitive shit today.
