doubt this will be F2P? Hmm, how long did it take StarWars, lol.. This will go F2P sooner I'd imagine. Or people will just drop it like they're gonna do anyway. To me; content always seems to be the main issue with any of these MMO's. People chewed through StarWars so fast it was funny. For the casual player sure, there's a lot of content. For people nowadays though; having to pay a monthly for very lite playing, isn't cutting it anymore, IMO. So I guess, Is F2P any different than P2P? And if so, I'll wait til it's F2P then Very Happy

IMO it will become f2p really fast just like SWTOR ... you said the same about swtor too (if i remember correctly) it does not do anything that impressive (it does not do anything even remotely impressive at all actually) to survive more than 1 year on subscriptions IMO it will go f2p after one year or less then will die again after 2-3 years and we'll forget that even happened Smile but we'll see Very Happy

I remembered to mention that the first person thingy is not even close to be impressive or at least playable that thing is so rusty and clunky is not even worth it to try it Smile

out of sig inspiration for the moment Okay

I am not really much into MMO's but am pretty sure there is not MMO for the last 10 years ( except EVE and WoW) that didn't change from subscribitions model to buy-once-to-play or free-to-play. If there are still subscribers based games, please tell.

Asheron's Call is still sub-only as far as I know. Not a massive player base but surprisingly, people are still playing it.

You are right, but Ashenor's Call is the root of all MMO's. It started the subscribitions model. It would be a blasphemy if it goes f2p imo Smile

I also found this: https://ams.darkfallonline.com/AMS/
Looks like it's the only other game with monthly fee. But it's only 8 months old Very Happy

I'd be happy if I could just get an Elder Scrolls game with multiplayer similar to how Borderlands worked. Just a handful of friends, drop in, drop out, and it's basically the same game whether you're rolling single player or multi.

I'll give ESO a try but only after it goes F2P. I'm not paying for it and paying a sub. Not worth it for me

Don't worry last time they send keys for a couple of days. You could make another beta application on a diff e-mail to up your chances. Try the key Interinactive posted (tho bet someone snagged it).

those that were in previous weekend you dont have to wait for new key, you already have access.Theirs beta handling system is as bad as eso launcher, download one patch, patch 17gb of data, download another patch, patch 13gb of data, download third/fourth/fifth/ very small patches, patch xx date, patch 8th? fuck know which one patch which is 4gb this time around, patch another 10+gb or whatnot data, THERE WAS ONE GOD DAMN PATCH RELEASED IN LAST MONTH, it takes fucking ages to patch this shit, why do i have to patch same data over and over again, this isnt 2002 where after not playing the game you would download 10 patches in row, we had cumulative patches since forever, and this isnt 10 patches either, its single one, not even big one from the patch notes,

OH FOR FUCK SAKE IT REVERTED ON LAST 90% and downloading 4gb again, not even a warning why it did it... its been over an hour trying to patch this shit, what about someone with slow broadband when game launches, are people supposed to leave patcher before they leave for work/school/shit

Downloading 21GB again. Crying or Very sad

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
