|
 |
The man responsible for operating the Olympic Rings during last night’s Winter Olympics opening ceremony in Russia was found dead today.
According to local reports the body of Boris Avdeyev was found his hotel room early this morning with multiple stab wounds.
Avdeyev was a technical specialist responsible for the Olympic Ring spectacle, which embarrassingly malfunctioned last night. Five animatronic snowflakes were supposed to transform into Olympic Rings. The first four functioned properly but the fifth snowflake failed to change shape.
Although his body was badly mangled and the wounds were consistent with a struggle, so far officials say they don't suspect foul play.
“Sure there were stab wounds and bruises all over the body,” admits the lead investigator on the case. “But who knows what caused them. Maybe he tripped and fell on a set of knives. Right now we’re ruling this an accidental death.
“It’s terrible when accidents like this happen. But then again, maybe Mr. Avdeyev should have thought twice before he screwed up the Olympics. Accidents tend to happen to people who betray Russia.”
Despite the government’s story, fellow hotel guests reported hearing a struggle in Avdeyev’s room around 3 a.m. local time.
“There was a very loud noise last night,” Canadian bobsled member Guy Lafleur, who was staying two hotel rooms down. “I called the front desk but the phone didn't work so I went to the room where the sound was coming from and saw three big men leave the room.
I asked if there was a problem and they told me to go back to my room. Then this morning I find out the guy inside was dead. Very scary I told the police what I saw but they told me to forget what I saw. They were very intimidating.”
Putin, The Man You Can Trust
It was reported that Vladimir Putin was visibly upset with the botched ending of the ceremony and he may have been out for blood. He stormed out of the stadium and took off in a helicopter before the media could ask him any questions.
The embarrassment of his nation could have been too much for him to handle.
“Putin loves Russia to death,” said Alexander Zhukov, the Russian Olympic Committee president. “He also loves accountability.”
While there has not been accountability from the contractors responsible for building the Olympic Village, the ceremony was a world wide event for everyone to see. Putin may hold that to a higher level.
“If he feels the Ceremony reflects him, who knows what he’ll do to seek justice,” said Zhukov before part of a hotel ceiling crashed to the floor beside him. “All I know is Borris Avdeyev failed Russia and got what he deserved.” More of the hotel began to crumble and the interview had to be cut short.

What are you on about, my knife holders are embedded in the floor too? Handle first so the blade sticks up, isn't that the best way and place to keep them?

Maybe he should have died already but cheated death previously and was then involved in an unrealistic chain reaction of events which resulted in a fatal and freak accident causing his unfortunate demise?
Spoiler: | Or maybe Ive seen too much Final Destination |

Exaggerations aside, this sounds scarily believable. xD Although usually these episodes stay hidden from the medias, or else the journalists get killed too

in other news ... the Russian government Aka Putin made a perfect plan how to ehm hide the fact he was assassinated
http://dailycurrant.com/2014/02/07/russia-to-house-prison-inmates-in-sochi-hotels/
Code: | In another potential setback for the 2014 Winter Olympics, Russian authorities announced they will have to temporarily house dozens of convicts in Sochi hotels until a new prison is built.
The government said it doesn’t expect visitors and athletes will be bothered by the prisoners, who will be held at three of the hotels reserved for foreign athletes and visitors.
“Visitors to the Winter Olympics should not worry about their safety, as the prisoners will be confined to their rooms and not allowed to attend the games,” according to a statement from the Ministry of the Interior.
“Russian-language signs will be posted in each hotel so guests will know where their room is and where the prisoners are located. We expect everything to go very smoothly.”
Russian officials demolished Otkryty Dver prison, located 10 miles outside Sochi, to make room for a multi-billion dollar ice rink. However, construction of a new prison for the inmates was overlooked and is not scheduled to begin until March, after the Olympics end.
The arrival of the prison inmates -- whose crimes reportedly range from theft and burglary to armed robbery and murder -- may be another problem for the Olympics in Sochi, which has been criticized for widespread corruption and poor preparation.
Journalists have already reported on the many embarrassing problems in their hotels, such as unfinished construction, urine-colored water, faulty electrical wiring and strange bathrooms.
However, the local Olympics committee insisted there was no problem putting dangerous inmates next to foreign visitors, noting that prison officials were taking advantage of the available rooms.
“We trust that guests will enjoy their stay in Sochi without any problems,” according to a committee statement. “Russia is known for treating its prison inmates humanely, so guests should do the same and everything will be fine.
“We are committed to presenting the best Olympics that $50 billion and counting can buy.” |
