Haha yeah, I'm somewhat hopeful that the PC community will be able to remove them through some cfg tweaks (it's idTech after all ), or in the worst case scenario, we can always summon Durante!

I didn't want to be the first to say it, lest I get accused of being a graphics whore again.. but yes, those visuals have taken a drastic nosedive since last year. I guess we can call 2014 the Year of the Downgrade® I'm still expecting the game to be amazing, but can't help but notice the sharp downturn in splendour. Hopefully that was just a PS360 trailer
Hmm, I've gotta say, I didn't notice that in this case. Then again, I haven't really followed this game. The game seems to be pretty awesome from that trailer, but not the kind of game I would play though. I'll probably end up watching it on YT.
Also, I don't mean any of that, game looks like shit... no atmosphere at all since they removed the black bars. Not next-gen enough. 9/10 worst game ever.

But the setting and atmosphere are really good. It reminds me of clive barker's undying. I remember playing it at night and it was damn scary

I don,t know but it almost seems that the developpers may have overestimated the power of the new consoles and then realized at some point that they would have to downgrade their games because otherwise it wouldn't run great on those platforms.
That's pure speculation from my part but the only thing that make sense to me
I remember the first gameplay videos from last year showing a very low framerate on console, that's probably the reason why they had to remove some details, and it's a shame.
Still looks good in my opinion, especially the lighting, and the really solid atmosphere. Also, let's not forget that it's powered by the id Tech 5, washed out textures are a feature
I haven't been following much either, so any decrease in graphics has gone over my head. It's a shame that it seems to be occurring more and more. #nextgen.
Just watch ANY other video before the last one. Every one of the previous videos look gorgeous. You will notice the difference right away
