I hope its not like the demo, and I can run it at the native res. of my LCD. And I seem to recall having HDR and AA running at the same time in the demo on my 6800, it just performed poorly with both. (Splinter Cell 3 won't even allow both enabled, so I assumed SS2 was fine)

a few years back, I might have enjoyed this game. But now its just a game without purpose. Ah well, nobody's loss, just have to uninstall the game and delete the images. Now lets go play FEAR and AOE3

Toxikated, bad news you cant run this game at 1280x1024, but hey it looks good anyway because of the richness in color!
And copywrong not to burst your bubble or anything, but in those screenshots you have taken there is NO anti-aliasing. And it doenst have to do with the resizeing because you can just click the image and it shows up in full size.
Try turning off HDR and take a before & after screen.

copywrong wrote: | I stand corrected, no AA and HDR. Sorry about that, it actually looks like you have both when playing... But honestly though, do you guys really think the screens look bad, I mean, that's how it looks. Are you dudes seeing something else?
With HDR, AA set to 4x but get's turned off when hdr is set to yes.
Without HDR, 4xAA

Looking great man!
I for one, prefer the slightly blurrier, but better lit, hdr version.
And whoever said you didn't need the antblaxx workaround;
You;re right . mounting with A-120% 1.9.5 does the trick all by itself.
Great, fun game.

pallebrun wrote: | This is just SUPERB. I dont know what gamespot smoked when they gave this game such a low score, this is easily just as good as the previous serious sam games, I would even say that this is better. And I have just played singleplayer so far!!
The maps are smaller, but the huge maps in the previous games were just huge without a purpose (not all, but many), so I dont have a problem with smaller maps since you actually use the whole map in this game. |
Yea you right , gamespot smoked good stuff , probaly some crack .
Anyway , gamespot is a lot retarded these day .
The forums are down , we cant tell the revewier is a asshole .
This game could at least get a 7.5

This game looks awesome... I really like the "NON DARK" games, and there are only few of it.
Those screenshots looks great, can you take some more from other levels, I must wait untill end of november for my new PC.
So I cant play it now.
Thnx

Umm, I wonder if some1 had/has the same problem as me:
the installation prog just freezes whether it's the autorun menu or the setup itself. I can't get past the choose language menu. it looks like this - i launch setup.exe or the autorun and wait 1-2 mins (the cursor turns into an hourglass) then if i get lucky the choose language menu appears, i click NEXT and that's all it just freezes there and gets (Not Responding) some mins later. I'm not quite a n00b (latest Alcohol etc.), all the previous releases worked fine except this one. Tried mounting in both Alco & DTools for installation (same shit dd) and no, my computer is decent (P4/1GbRAM).
Any help'd be appreciated, thx.

I just finished this great game. It realy is great, Greg Kasavin from GameSpot was wrong with his 6.9 score. I give this game a 9/10. It's funny, enterntaining, not too long and not too short. Serious Sam III on the way (as it says after you finish the game).
P.S. End boss is a bitch >_<

Works for me mounted on daemon tools! The gfx are insanely good and the action is too, but so far the levels are disappointingly short :\ I'm up to level 4 already and i've only been playing 20 minutes hehe. I'm playing the non-patched ver, 6800GT, max textures and medium AA and it's running superb! All in all a worthy game and probably worth the 30 bucks. Just dunno if it will live up to those sam 1 moments :s Peace,
fear the led zeppelin that was!

I've encountered the same problem as Peanut Butter Wolf: the setup.exe does nothing.
It's probably not a copy protection issue, but something else I have never seen before. The werid thing is, that I've tried to run it on multiple computers up to no avail. The autorun runs fine and the game's executable runs as well (play the movies then crashes, of course), but I can't install it.
This is probably not a hardware issue, as I've tried running it on various setups. The files are not damaged, either, I've ran an sfv check and a TTH-check and it certainly is the Clone version.
Has anyone encountered this before?
