Wake was the bomb.. back when I played Desert Combat. It's kind of annoying they release these old maps as part of their DLC. That shit should be free and DLC should be all new material IMO.

:O Just reading this is origin,
"Latinamerica, from 03/26/2013 onwards you will now have access to the Mexican Origin Store along with prices in $US"
Does that means that the mexican store is gonna switch to Dollars? Meaning no more cool prices?

should affect anyone who uses a mexican proxy, so it appears like you are IN mexico and not connecting from somewhere else.

Ok , stupid question due to fading memory. Which BF3 map had the wrecked ship in the desert? Reminded me a little of Jedi Knight duel map. Any takers? I'm pretty sure it's called King's Bounty in Bulgaria just to get that out of the way

Thank you fine sir. That explains why I couldn't find the damn thing looking in the wrong game. Proves my memory is going. Loved that map.
I gotta say I hate how people grab 2 or 3 maps and that's all you see in rotation. Paracel is FAR from my fav and it's fukkin EVERYWHAR!

FWIW....
Forcing vsync in the catalyst CP fixes.the crashing for me. 7970. (I run with a 60hz monitor)
You who are crashing try to limit your fps with vsync or fpslimit commands.

VSync in BF4 can reduce performance by a noticeable amount though.
In general, the crashing is so random that most of these "fixes" turn out to be coincidences. Two days ago I could crash 2-3 times per match, while yesterday I played for over two hours without a single one...

Well sure, but I played Metro (hähä) 5 hours straight without a crash yesterday.
My fps is a super stable 60fps all the time, its good enough for me, because I HATE tearing with a passion.

false?
let's say i stand in a spot where i get 55fps with tripple buffered vsync. when i disable vsync fps is still 55. how exactly does it reduce performance? if you mean fps is capped at your monitor refresh rate (usually 60fps), then yes in that sense it does "reduce" performance.

I'm experiencing some weird warping sometimes in which my ping is normal but I find myself warping all over the place.
Could it be due to my wireless connection with the router?
There's about 9-10 meters and 3 walls between them, but my DL speed is usually pretty steady and the wireless bar indicator on windows is mostly 3/4 or completely full.
Halp!

Hey, please dont play bf4 over a wifi connection ever, packet loss will always be a factor even in lab environments...
Sure you can have good transfer speeds of large chunks of data over wifi but wifi connections are not good for latency critical applications like bf4. (although right now there are lots of bugs to bf4s latency compensation algorithms so my point might not be valid until dice fixes the bugs).

vsync gives me a huge input lag. Everything becomes "sluggish". I even removed the max fps command in user.cfg. I just run the game at whatever it wants to run lol. And i don't experience screen tearing, so there really is no point in it anyways.

This is very wrong.
Any decent router won't give you packet loss unless you get poor signal.

What? With a decent 5GHz AP like UniFi and receiver it's almost as good as over cable.

The main difference between wired vs wifi is jitter.
When playing FPS based games you want latency to be as constant as possible (low jitter), yes wireless these days can provide the bandwidth and low latency, jitter on the other hand can vary considerably.
Wifi and even EoP is a shared half duplex medium, it use's CSMA/CA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrier_sense_multiple_access_with_collision_avoidance)
essentially every transmitted packet from any station must wait until the entire channel is clear before it sends, sometimes it might only wait <1ms before it transmits, sometimes it could be several ms.
or the packet can be sent on an in-use channel and the packet is corrupted and dropped.
Even with a single host, you can only send or receive at any 1 point in time, so if you have to wait to finish sending before you can receive this also increases jitter.
These days everyone has wifi, everyone has a phone or 2 or more attached to the wifi and every other device each increasing jitter.
If your anal just don't do it.
Borrowed the wall of text..

just because you are blind as a bat and don't notice image quality ruining screen tearing, doesn't mean everyone else is too. but good for you, i guess.

wifi has higher packet loss and jitter than wire
wire is the best solution
I had a friend use wifi for 2 years, because cable would "clutter his new apartment"
in the end he caved in, put some cable around the corners of the room and wired his pc to the router
