If they are going to change the character, why not just make her Jenny Storm. I guess since this is not part of the Marvel Disney films series they are probably hoping it does fail so Fox will lose the license and then it can be done right.

FF are Marvels characters, no? So if you make a movie based on a comic book, shouldn't you stay kinda true to that?
Plus the only positive side of ff for me has been the scenes where Chris Evans is half nude :3
