fxp transfer complete ... only thing I am still at work for 3 more hrs and then have to take my wife to the mall to shop for clothes to go out tonite ... fuckin a ... but I am glad that sometimes tonite when its nice and dark I will come back home with a nice buzz going and will devote the rest of the night shooting at everything that moves ... cant wait!

Has anyone got this game to work on Win2k yet?
I'm using Deamon Tools v3.47 in combination with either SR7.Stop 1.0 or VirtualCDHide v1.0.0.4, but I get the "Emulation found" error regardless of which tool I attempt to use. if I run them both, I get the "Registery" error.
Anyone able to provide som hints?
EDIT: I have now also tried with Alchol 120%, and I am still having the same problems as reported above. Have tried both with and without all combinations of emulations on and off in both programs (sick of rebooting now, hehe)

I haven't tried, but technically it should work just with Daemon Tools with all the emulation options on. DoW Winter Assault also had Securom 7, and doing what I said earlier worked just fine.

You know the one thing that bugs me about FEAR? Doors make no noise at all. You can slam them open and they just... open. No squeak, no bang. Everything else is SO detailed, and they missed that... It's a shame.

I agree they might not squeek because they are new, but when you fling it open, it's gonna bang the wall and that's a sound no matter what. You can also usually hear the handle when someone turns it, unless the are super slow and careful.
No, it will not mount with DT or A120 without anti-blaxx or sr7stop.

SR7.Stop and Daemon Tools??
Step by step please.
I can run game with Alcohol 120% and Anti-Blaxx!
But I can't understand how SR7.Stop works.
If I press "Hide" and Run the game it says:
"Please remove disc from current CD/DVD dirve and insert the original disk in another drive I:"
Drive I: is my DVD-ROM
Image is mounted on letter: H:

hmmmm Im not far into it but has any1 else noticed the fact that there seems to be lots of 'scary bits' 1 after another and then nothing for AGES. It was spooky for abt 5 times then it was predictable and never made an appearance for ages. Still its 1 of the best games this year but I think there should be some b-hop or a way to make urself move a little bit faster.
edit: oh btw Im runnin it on a dual core and I dont see anything special on it at all. The best things about the game are by far the music and the smoke effects (dust) is amazing. I'm running it on a 7800gtx maxed out and I think the texturing, modelling and lighting of day of defeat source much nicer. The biggest downfall on this game is the water physics  . Also has any1 noticed how the flashlight needs to be a bit brighter? >_<

I installed Alcohol 120%, installed the game, ran SR7.Stop, hid the drive, chose compatibility mode (win 2000) on the .exe, and I get the following error :
"Original disc could not be found or authenticated"
Anyone was able to solve this..? I tried with daemon tool, I get the same error.

It is mounted, I can see the drive and the logo of the game, unless i forgot a step..?
I just right clicked on the virtual drive at the bottom of alcohol 120%, chose mount image, etc.
Did I forget to enable/disable anything..?

i tryed alcohol 120% didnt work 4 me i got daemon tools then installed the game with the emulation set to RMPS and in options autolock and lock dll on the when it was installed i runed "virtual-cd-hide.exe" the set it to hide all drives and it works

and I was wondering if anyone else is having problems with understanding the whole story. I didnt speed through the story parts at all, I listened to all the phone messages, laptop uploads, mission briefings etc. but I still dont have a complete grasp of the whole game.
Must play this, play that...
