Wait, how does the install game data option work? Is that meant to be used ingame if you don't install the disc vpfrom the dashboard? Otherwise, it would reading from two places on the HDD, one from the dashboard install and the other from internal install.
if you play from DVD ... HDD install... if not then Fuck it
simple ...
That's my point, why include an ingame install option the 360 version of the game when anyone with a brain already uses the dashboard install option? I guess it's for those poor chumps with the 4GB 360 slims, heh.
and like it was said before move your game into your SATA drive then play this from USb drive ... the world is streaming constantly like in GTA5 or Midnight CLub ... and like with Fable remake when it does not have that model/texture/sound loaded into its memory this game will LAG LIKE SHIT...
i dont have rgh either, what i did with gta5 on my 360 is install the full game on the int hdd as usual, then do the in-game installation on a usb stick that i connected at the back of the console. the usb stick has to be formatted by the 360 first so you can use for game saves and installs.
the same should be possible with this.
Two-source voodoo is not really needed to run this as they intended it and demoed for the past year, it always ran like shit and they want to install all game data to the HDD anyway.
I guess it would be possible to do that lite install and then run the rest of it from an external so game data is split in half but...is it really necessary lol
This time limit shit is so fucking annoying, especially since the game world is pretty open and offers lots of exploring and tons of sidequests with no questmarkers on where to find stuff.
Makes me reload every time when exploring, just so i can get where i need to quick without wasting any time.
I wonder who the fuck at square thought this was a good idea.
Yep it doesnt really matter how you install it, the game runs like shit while looking like shit. This is the worst ff ever imo, its a huge step down even from 13, actually it makes 13 look like an old school ff
but srly, wtf square, just wtf....
Stop experimenting with crappy concepts that result in a horrible game, just fucking do a high budget remake of any old ff game if youre too incapable of creating something good and new.
Luckily thx to games like dark souls, xenoblade and bravely default we know that rpgs out of japan are far from dead, but looking at this abomination of what used to be THE prime example of rpg gaming is just too painful.
I'd get used to it mate, because it looks like high profile main-console classic FF games are dead and not coming back, FFXV is another LRFF style action button masher too, albeit a very beautiful one. The days of turn-based/ATB classic games are gone, unless you have a portable and get games like Bravely Default.
oh god i just cant force myself to play through this shite, its the last game of the 13 trilogy and i really want to get it over it.
the game is filled with hundreds of horrible design choices, but lets focus on the main 2, that irreparably ruin the game for me:
1. time limit in a fucking rpg: yes, rush from a to b while opening your map every 2 seconds so you dont waste precious time.
2. dont get exp/ level up by defeating enemies in a fucking rpg: one incentive that could have made this horribly fanmade mod of 13´s combat system bearable, isnt there.
oh and i didnt even mention the horrible sub 25 fps framerate (being quite obsessed with framerates usually), that shows how horrible this excuse of a game really is.
Xenoblade and Bravely Default (i even bought a 3DS for this) have proven that you can make a modern JPRG fun and meaningful. FF is so far astray from that path cuz they wanted to appeal to the western audience. Which is nonsense cuz the "western" audience wants a real Final Fantasy and not some bullshit some marketingdudes think people want.
Sums it up:

They planned the Lara DLC all along, I just didn't check the game files before, it was there even in the japanese release (pictures of it).
There's no unannounced DLC left there so Hitman will not happen, and now I know why. Her head needs tessellation.

i have been trying to force myself to finish it, so i can complete the trilogy, but i just cant.
first i have to force myself to start it, then i m constantly searching for excuses not to play it.
i ve finished difficult games like demons souls and dark souls several times, even dmc3 and shinobi on ps2 on several difficulties and some of the toughest nes games
but i fucking applaud everyone who makes it through this piece of shit.
there is no fucking incentive to play it, the game makes you rush from boring sidequest to boring sidequest with your time running out, you dont gain exp or level up by defeating enemies, main story is pure shit and i dont care about any of the characters, gfx are just barely passable and framerate dips to 20-23 fps which is unforgivable.
this game makes you look back to ff13 and think "aah, the good old times when we had classic ff games like ff13"
i give up, squareenix, you really fucked me deep and hard (even though i only tried the isodemo, i dont even want to imagine the pure hatred from people who paid for this tragedy), now i am going to erase the memory of this game´s existence with some alcohol, then go back to ff6 android and later ff8 to get rid of the diarrhoea flavoured aftertaste.
ok so i kept kicking my balls to keep playing this game for whatever reason, i guess its the "final fantasy" in the title that is just too irresistible for me.
anyway, 30 hrs in, on day 7, i already finished all main quests so far and 60 side quests, which is more than enough to get the special ending.
only thing left to do now is to sleep through till day 13 and kill the last boss.
a very tedious fucking game, but i m almost done.
If only it was that easy, you'll have another day for being so dedicated and doing almost all sidequests, just to extend the suffering for one more day.
Can you endure it?
Ω hunting is not worth it but by doing that shitload amount of quests you'll be granted an extra day in which an optional dungeon opens. Chronostasis doesn't work and time is counted even during battles. It has only Ω enemies and a boss so that's an opportunity to score some extra gear - the last one of a Reaver (floor 15) and the skeleton (floor 20) drop weapons. They look fucking ugly in pink but the Reaver one is quite powerful.
There are 66 sidequests in total and 64 can be done in one playthrough so that's quite a completionist playthrough there
I experimented a bit with the English release and managed to do all main quests and 61 sidequests while still being on day 4 out of 14 ...savegame time is a bit over 30 hours also with no dedicated Ω hunting of the 30 species so it's a 20-50h game depending on how little or how much the player wants to invest. The point of NG+ and gear upgrading in it are kind of lost because there's nothing really new to see if it's fully beaten the first time.
welp i guess i ll have to dip into the special dungeon then, i can kill an omega niblet and skelleton to complete 2 more sidequests and get the reaver.
i just wanna have decent stats for the last boss and not suffer too much,
i shouldve played this on easy instead of normal, like most ppl suggest for first playthrough, but the damn pride got me
ok so i ended up doing all the sidequests except for the 2 ng+ ones, and just finished the game at 40 hrs. that last boss was such a pushover, the enemies in the trials before it were tougher. and wtf @ that special ending
