let's face the truth - it's the main problem with d3... grind for hours for legendary item which could (or mostly it couldn't) enhance your build diversity
I'm confused, what problem are you referring to?
If, by grinding, you mean killing enemies and getting loot - then sure. That's the core of the genre, and if you don't enjoy the loot hunt or the strategy of creating an efficient build - then the game is best left alone
killing enemies and getting loot - yeah it is the core of aRPG and this part is fun in D3 i agree. But creating a build of dropped legendaries with predefined affixes... It is neither strategy nor fun tbh
I disagree, though I don't build "of legendaries" I use them to inspire builds, as per the loot 2.0 design.
I am thinking of buying this now it's dropped to a more sensible price. I have a few questions if some of you would be so kind?
1.Is being in a party a must? I would prefer if this was single player, but as it's not I would like to know if it can be played solo all the way through.
2.Is there a lot of grinding? In other words does it get boring quickly?
You can play SP just fine, I would totally avoid public games unless you are doing it with your friends.
I'm currently leveling a Wizard with no help at all, I started out on Normal difficulty and recently switched to Master.(But I also have 160 paragon level and that helps).
Also, mobs level scale to your level.
And there is not a lot of grinding after the patch, still fair amount but if you are leveling new character and you will find yourself getting drops all the time.
I have about 455hrs on my DH and about 300hrs on my barb pre-patch and out of all those hours, I FOUND ONE JUST ONE LEGENDARY that I sold for about 600milll...
After recent patch you can get decent legendary after 1-2 hrs

It can be very much a single player game. As the enemy mechanics are designed to be solo-able.
You will have to do multiple playthroughs to hit max level. I don't know if you consider that grinding. Since the new update changes quite a bit, I don't know how many times you have to beat it to level 60. But right now there is a 50% bonus exp until launch of expansion.
Thanks chaps, now can you recommend a good, safe place to buy a key in the UK? I have looked at a few sites selling keys but as I have not used them before not sure how reliable they are.
not sure, but i guess it's different indeed. But who knows. Just search for it and you'll see And if you can't join EU, feel free to create the US NFO lol.
Will give the patch a try, but i don't think i'll ever buy the expansion...
ASUS X570 TUF GAMING PLUS, 32GB DDR4@2666 ,RYZEN 5800X3D (NO OC),GIGABYTE RTX 4070 Super GAMING OC, Western Digital Blue 4TB 5400RPM + SAMSUNG 860 EVO 500+1TB GB SSDs , OEM SATA DVD 22xNoctua NH-D15 Chromax Black, BenQ XL2420T Case: Be Quiet! DARK BASE PRO 901. PSU CORSAIR RM1200 SHIFT
So can anyone suggest a decent safe site to buy a key in the UK?
You can buy it as a gift from the US b.net store with EU account, just send it to your email, works like a charm. Haven't seen any sites that sell it cheaper, then again I didn't bother looking around much as it was cheap directly from blizz.
final day for rmah adventure for me, selling gems + gold netted me another ~100 euro. (lol at~4euro / 50.000.000, who the fuck really buy this useless gold ? ).
i could start again to bid on low price items and change them to a bit of more g, but i'm bored, and i decided to stop. now i'm waiting for ros.
k so i heard the game got good now. can anyone explain the endgame pls ? I already have a couple of max lvl chars, what do i play for now? Better items so i can do harder paragon levels ? Am i correct ? Anything else you can do ?
Well, I don't think there is a MMO like endgame. Think back to D2, the "endgame" was either grinding some exp in the high 90s, which you can kind of do with the paragon levels, or doing loot runs to get gear for future characters.
This is both very possible now. And bounties, "rifts" (random dungeons afaik) and the difficulties enable that.
I still miss almost impossible uber-areas from mods like Eastern Sun or Median XL, these really gave you goals to refine your gear and get certain gear-sets for specific areas.

Thats what i mean. Goals. What are the goals in this game ? Say in Dark Souls (yes i know, different kind of game) there was a player established character level and player established locations for duels so ppl would make all kind of builds for that level and pvp or grief others. Or ignore that all togheter and start new game++++ with neverending growing challenge. I assume here you keep gearing up so you can do harder and harder paragon levels? Or ?
