You should care so that this does not become and future games won't follow. Even when you have luxury of 750GB of SSD space, if few other games had done this, you'd be out of that space.
Also if this game's problem was unoptimized performance and you'd be having troubles running it on your NVIDIA graphics card, would you be complaining about it, even when there are others on this board who have AMD cards and they'd be having no such problems? I bet you would, because it would not be acceptable. Now, likewise majority have 120-250GB of SSD storage (if that) and average internet connection around the world is much slower than 120Mbps, and some people even have bandwidth caps. I think it's reasonable to complain about wasting everyone's space and bandwidth, just because of developers laziness.
So even you are not affected by this, it's good to acknowledge this problem, because maybe next time there will be similar problem, like one I described above, when it will be you, who will be affected by it. Lazy ports should not go unnoticed, ever, else they become a norm.

I didn't know uncompressing files on the fly was CPU intensive. Is the audio different compared to other games? If a dev studio is worried about a few percent CPU usage, they probably rely too much on the CPU anyway :/

You can compress/decompress any audio by using any CPU on 100%. Compressing audio is definitely not even near 'few precent CPU usage'.

Why would a game had to compress audio? Of course that takes a bit more CPU time. Now the playback/decompressing, that's trivial task with any audio codec I know of even on my oldest Atom based singlecore 1.6GHz netbook, even if they had to decompress that many audio files at once I highly doubt it would make that much of a difference. Chances are people running background processes will make the game unplayable on those lowest-end machines anyway. If they REALLY had to do this, of which I highly doubt, they should've released the optional DLC for low end machines.
I read somewhere that the game have all audio files for all languages, not just for language you selected at installation. Is that true? LOL

Time between rounds too long. Really gets on nerves.

Sometimes I during a game I end up crashing and get a message saying Titanfall exe has stopped working. I can play a few games before this happens but it's a continuous thing anyone know what the issue could be?

Honestly, hard to say for sure without detailed log or debugging (with debugging symbols). Could be literally the smallest thing.

Realized that most of my fps drop/hitching was due to running out of VRAM. Running the game with insane textures easily goes over my 2GB VRAM.
Looks like I'm going to finally have to get rid of my 680's. Started having vram issues with bioshock infinite, now this. I guess I'll be dropping to high textures for now, and picking up the GTX 880 whenever that comes out.
Someone over at guru3d posted a working SLI profile for nvidia inspector, works great. The only SLI option that actually worked for me.

Thats insane...With these shitty textures such high VRAM usage? But some of the people here have somewhat similiar GPU's like us and they dont have these framedrops.. I dont get it :/.

Well, it could be the anti aliasing method they are using, I believe that is pretty intense on VRAM as well, maybe some are running FXAA, or 2x MSAA?
I run the game with 4x MSAA, but when I get home I'm just going to drop textures from insane to high in hopes that VRAM will be enough after that. From the comparisons I've seen there isn't much difference between insane & high anyway.

Shouldn't this game run just fine and not be that demanding? The game isn't that good looking and it's the source engine.

Only difference I saw during all the action that's going on are the titan cockpits, with the worst offender being the Ogre.
