It's basic cable. So technically, it has the privilege to show nudity, but it doesn't. You have to understand that this is not a full blown entertainment channel like HBO, Showtime and the likes. It offers historical documentaries and thus caters to the mass audience, which may include minors too. MPAA won't come into picture at all, as it's assess movies and not TV broadcast. I believe it's the FCC, which classifies the ratings. Then again, I don't think they might have intervened in anyway, as the content was easily permissible. In the end, it all boils down to the Networks decision and History Channel decided to can the nudity. |

Oh, it's just boobs scenes censored? In that case I don't mind. I often fast forward porn scenes anyway to save some time. I thought they'd censor the gore.

Indeed. I'd rather watch porn if in mood for that. Besides with XBMC when I fast forward it with my 360 controller it's just speed up, so I see everything there is, but instead of 1 minute long scene it takes 10 seconds to play (same goes for intros, credits, or unnecesary long mute scenes, etc.)
The time it saves is often considerable, I don't ever feel I missed something, and if movie/episode was shit I don't at least regret so much time spent on it.

I always watch stuff with english subtitles.

Why do you automatically assume people like nudity in movies (or games, for that matter) because they so desperately want to see some, though? For me, personally, it's a matter of authenticity. I'm laughing hard whenever I see a Pg13-rated strip club in a film, for example - with dancing babes all dressed up and not a single boob visible in the nearest vicinity. It feels forced, unreal, grotesque - and the same goes for overly tame sex scenes. Not every movie has to have sex, but it's a part of life - a pretty important one, in fact - so avoiding it at all costs is silly. And when someone does want to show it, they fucking better do it right - without needles porn, but without gracious screen blackening either.
