They wanted the game to hit the stores before Christmas, well they did make it (^^) And they do that so that it is launched before the new Quake and other shooting crap (^^)
After 2 years of dev and lots of help of game sites and game magazines, it can become a great game, depending on their previews, reviews even if it is as liniar as the sex life of a one day fly...but it should have nice graphs!
Want to play an original shooting game? Ask you daddy if he brings out his old Atari 2600 and start playing Centipede

for me it only worked with SR7.Stop, antiblast 1.6/1.7 didnt work at al (used daemon 3.47)l..different results on different pcs..btw found the game to be too bland too much dirt and too short... any game that takes less than 10 hours to be beaten shouldnt be released.. thats my beef..should be atleast take a month lol.

To me, none of all that matters. Linear, repeat environments, few different enemies... All that matters to me is... I'm having fun.
Let me just say: I don't like First Person Shooters. I really don't. Half Life, Doom 3, Quake... Haven't liked them since the original Doom and Wolfenstein. (Oh, and the first Star Wars one.)
I"m playing on easy, but I'm not cheating. I find it fun to run around and shoot people, while dealing with the story that's taking place. The graphics are nice, the game is very immersive. In fact, it's so immersive that I can't play for more than about 20 minutes at a time. I have to leave the game and come back now and then.
In the end, it's a game for non-FPS-fanatics, I guess. It sounds like all the hard-core FPSers are disliking this, while those of us who prefer RTS and RPG games are liking it.

Same here, Antiblaxxx was just crap. Sr7.stop works perfectly fine with the image mounted in DT with all emulation options on.

All of the idiots bashing this game seem jealous of the designers who are trying to do something different for gamers..only to end up bashed by pricks. You bashers have had months of information and even tried the demo before the full game was released to decide "I do not like this game so i will not bother with it". Instead you must grab it and then post within this forum of how you hated it so very much. Well many others state otherwise,the game is selling and will sell for a reason. I was never hyped up about this game. I knew what to expect and what not to expect. I think that they did a good job. Besides..how long can first person shooters last until they are boring anyway? Enough of the bashing god.

Sure thing, as soon as people are willing to cough up $200+ to cover the development costs of a game that takes 720 hours to complete. Till then, devs and level designers are still working on a limited budget, so between the coding (engine/ai/sound/compatibility/bugs) and the artistic elements (level/character/weapon design, story, sound, etc.) developers have to choose a balance. In this case, they leaned heavily toward the coding side. At least they got something playable, that looks great, and that at least tries to innovate. I applaud them for it.
As for gameplay, it's an important part of the game but I feel that there's enough AI (this is an FPS, after all), storyline, and scripting to make for a great game. Being linear, I'm afraid, is a necessary evil to get different parts of the story across properly. If every part of the game had only 2 different paths to choose from, the devs would have to make twice the levels, three paths - three times the levels. etc. I think that the amount of level design the devs allowed this game would have made for a 2-3 hour non-linear game. I'd rather have 12 hours of linear gameplay than 2 hours of "choose your own story" gameplay.

Well, I've been playing for an hour now and though I didnt have high hopes, it has lived up to my expectations! My take thus far:
- The graphics: Good use of shadows, and the outdoor scenery has been improved since i played the MP beta considerably. Also the shinyness, though quite unrealistic, appeals to me as I love shiny games ^^ My only quip is that the entire game seems too... err... gloomy? grey? i dunno how to explain it, but it makes even doom3 look colorful.
- The gameplay: Eh, what did you expect? Nothing really out of the ordinary, but I must say that the AI is pretty good. I hate how they just sneak up behind you while you're in the middle of a firefight hehe
- The story: can kiss my ass.
On a misc note, though the game recommends max texture resolution for my setup (a64 3200+ w/ 6800GTOC & 1gb ram), it lags around pretty much every corner like in the demo, and I am forced to bring it down to medium (which isn't so bad). Also the performance could be better in places :\ My card rips through doom3 1028x1024/high/8xAF but puts up quite a struggle with this one at pseudo max-medium 1024x768 w/ 4xAF (and believe me it ain't THAT pretty). I definately see why 7800 owners are more biased to like this game as it justifies owning the card.
What else can I say? When I beat the game maybe I'll give a fuller review ^^ So far enjoying it! Peace,
fear the led zeppelin that was!

Are there some cheats for F.E.A.R. ?
That game is boring so I have to play it off with some cheats and then never touch it again.

atmo = 10/10 word
story = 9/10 good but some holes, maybe there will be FEAR 2
gameplay = 8/10 feels very good with some new features but still a normal FPS gameplay
enemies = 10/10 clever
multiplayer = 8/10 i like it but nothing special
9,1 /10

The bottom line here is this ..... whoever said they werent affraid at all and it wasnt scary is a lair, every single person that played this game shit their pants on one part or another, so stop trying to look all "tuff".
This game is damn good, just too bad I dont have any "backup" or A.I on my side the whole time, I must admit that the A.I is amazing, some soldiers actually try to recover from a shot or stand aside all dizzy after a nade .. thats awesome, I still havent finished it so I cant comment on this as a whole game yet, but so far its alot better then Doom 3.

You are wrong.
I don't consider myself "tuff", I consider this about as scary as the ones who try and prove me wrong when I'm actually expressing my honest opinion.
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

I definitely have never 'shit my pants' over this game, or any other game or movie. If you have, you need serious help and/or should get back on your meds.
I DID however jump a few times at the beginning. I wish they'd carried that through. I haven't beat it yet, though, so there's still a chance of redemption. We'll see.

People are scared of different things Waffen-SS and aladrinkelahn, it has nothing to do with acting "tuff" or acting all badass, or the need of medication.
I'm sure you 'aladrinkelahn' are scared of lots of things that people here would laugh at.

Read Readme.txt this problem is described there and it also has a solution.
Isnt it the first thing you should do if you have technical difficulties?
