hi, im having problems with fear...it crashes when saving checkpoints, it will start saving it and just freeze, music goes on bt i cant do anything, no altf4 and stuff, only thing that helps is a cold reboot
in the eventmanager i get some error with ati2dvag being in an infinite loop which is from fear i guess.. the event is named after ati tho
my specs:
p4 3ghz
ati mobility radeon 9700
1 gig ram
winxp pro sp2
also note that im still using the vga drivers that came with the notebook since all other drivers frigging bluescreen my system, even after a bios update!!

In the readme for the game it mentions setting security for the all users folder for issues involving saving the game. I wish they had put those files under my documents, we wouldnt have this problem. Check the instructions in the readme and see if that helps.

thx looks like i solved the prob, i managed to install new vga drivers, turns out not the new drivers caused the blue screen but the ati control panel, installed the drivers without it and it runs fine
