Didn't work, didn't realize I was using Reloaded then ALI and now 3DM, all seem to be using different directories and files for saves. Damn it
- Anyone have a save file from 3DM after you visit your girlfriends hide out?

Well adding in these things afterwards probably means that their usage is a bit limited much like early PhysX games as a example, would be interesting to see or hear a game that have utilized TrueAudio and Mantle since development began but that would mean games starting development in late 2013 for release later in 2014 or even 2015
(Perhaps even later since Mantle is still in active development.)
That and focusing on features that only part of the userbase would have access to isn't too sensible, probably why we still have only seen some games utilizing PhysX for anything major.
(To use that as a example once again.)
EDIT: New technology though, start small and then we'll see if it works out or if AMD moves to DirectX 12 (And OpenGL) instead or works on utilizing Mantle further regardless?
(That's for later on in the future however, Mantle will probably be around for quite a while I guess.)
EDIT: Back to the game itself though is there any news on additional content or is the game considered finished?
(Well the lower than anticipated reviews and sales probably put a bit of a dent in those plans.)

same here Sabin. I'm doing whatever I can to try to stay interested. Turned off all the waymarkers and help, going as master difficulty, no focus, and achieving ghost on everything so far.... but I've only played through chapter 4 and so I'm only half way through and I just have NO interest in continuing.
South Park came out while I was wondering if I wanted to keep playing and then that played a nice distraction for a week and now I'm truly considering installing FO:NV again just cuz I'm so pleased with Obsidian about South Park and I just can't bring myself to play this version of "Thief" anymore.

It sometimes stutters like mad on mine too, shitty streaming rubbish as always. I hope Epic have fixed that for UE4 but I doubt it It's worse at the start of the level and then at various points throughout .. which is hilarious given how damned small the levels are. As for "hope my new rig will handle that just fine" - ninja please, there ain't nothing your new rig won't destroy
Spoiler: | (except GTA5 when it hits ) |
@deadseasquirrel
I haven't even gotten to chapter/act 4 yet. I just can't drum up the willpower :\

It's ridiculous, this game looks so bad compared to Blacklist and that one ran smooth for you, didn't it?

I love Nixxes but I think a lot of people have forgotten just how shitty DXHR ran when it first came out, the stuttering was horrendous and rendered the game pretty much unplayable in DX11 mode for most people at the time. It took several patches before it was finally a truly smooth experience.

I put Thief on my SSD so it ran smooth for the little amount of time I could bear it. In hindsight, the "damage" it did to my SSD's controllers, it was such a shame.

Yeah, I am in peace talks with it now, but I hear it will be holding off a referendum on joining the GeForce Federation...

Sabin, just get a savegame for Asylum mission and play it. That would be enough, the rest can be ignored :P

Guys, sorry if this has already been discussed, but is there a solution to the stutter fest in this game?
I have a 680 sli but it stutters like shit.
Just want to make sure it is nothing on my end.
Thanks!

Thanks! | this problem only exist on pc that play in higher resolution then 720p ...
its a streaming map error , its the same bloody stream error that Bioschock Infinite had on PC... they failed to turn on LOD , cache cleaning and GPU ram cleaning of not needed textures
heck, they did a terrible job optimizing the Unreal Engine on the PC ,
some used Bioschock Infinite workarounds to fix this errors ,
some play in 720p because higher resolutions in some magic way force you to have a GPU with 3 gigs or 5gig of ram *facepalm* ...
its choking and lagging because when your GPU ram is depleted it uses Virtual memory and murders your HDD with constant readings ...
most users used theirs SDD and moved windows virtual memory there just to get faster reading times
so no , there are no official fixes or patches for this game only workarounds for a problem that should not be there right from the start ...
