Half of the month reached and nothing new with DT4 Confused . From the last post i've seen on their site, they seem to be more skilled to flame their visitors than for releasing their tool Very Happy

btw, the only feature i'm really waiting for is SF working emulation without having to unplug my physical ide drivers (for sf > 3.5.x)

I don't see why every1 is getting so hyped over this now. Its not as though that many great games haven't been released 1 way or another. Also the fact that I deleted all the starforce games on my HD doesn't bode well for a game playing filled release day.

Like ive said before...DT4 maybe be "the holy grail" when it comes to bypassing starfore - AT FIRST. But unless the DT team continually update, the sf team will find a way to prevent DT from working. Atmost say it takes a 6 months, then what? DT5 for 6 months?

im not knocking dt but i see this as a problem and i dont see it mention all to often

Maybe I didn't read all the posts on the net about DT4, but in my mind I see a problem: will the free version of DT4 be able to trick current SF games only by itself, or you will still have to use another program to hide your real optical drives? From what I know, DT4 is all about emulation, so it will solve the current blacklisting of virtual drives and the disk autentification problem. But there is one more problem : SF seeing your real optical drives and requesting you to insert the disk into another drive. This last problem, can it be fixed by a perfect SF emulation done by the free DT4, or it will take the IDE plugin to solve it? At the moment, the emulation problem is solved by The SFCure driver, which can be configured to start automatically, so it's not such a pain in the ass. The real pain comes from having to disable your roms, channel, node everytime you want to play, so if DT4 doesn't solve this, I don't think there will be such a big difference.

on the demon page they are talking about 2 dts one is a freebie and the other PRO edition that you have to pay for it ...
maybe they will make dt4 a emulator and
pro version a game protection trickser
or meaybe the special emu sf option will be a pay addon like in the Nero the mpg decoder/encoder

If i remember well, the difference between the std and pro version of DT4, is that the PRO version will implement the "IDE virtual drive" function which should (please note that i used SHOULD and not WILL) be a pain for SF drivers.

btw, nothing new for the moment so we just have to be patient.... (let's pray it's not gonna be vaporware)

Yeah, I'm not expecting it to be released in October. Remember the "we'll have some more information in a week"-messages? Then you waited a month without a word...

Smells like vaporware to me, but I hope I'm wrong.

OMG people you say bs. Or maybe you want buggy shit? Ok you can have it right now its ready. Just dont cry and bitch when something goes wrong and you'll need to reinstall Windows or buy new hard drive. Its not the end of the world if they found more bugs so its delayed again. Fine. I can play 99% of games without new DT anyway Smile

Do they really have better programmers on the DT team than the groups? If the groups did not manage to emulate starforce, why are so much people so certain, that DT4 will be a cure?

cracking groups don't want to emulate starforce, they wanna remove the protection. don't know wheter or not rld would be able to build a dtools like program, but for sure that is not their task.
cloning groups.... well, almost anyone can clone safedisc and securom in 5 minutes, and also anyone can learn how to make mirror's sfclonecds spending 1 hours to read a forum... doubt there's someone really skilled in those groups.

Because thats their job - to emulate stuff. They want to make money by creating new DT that many people want, they are not doing it just for fun. So why not? They can have better programmers than groups because they specialize on emulation. Smile
