I wonder which one is better? Do both programs use the same method to hide the virtual drives? Is one program safer to use than the other? What happens if a game crashes and reboots my PC or if I forget to unhide the stuff before I turn off the computer? Would Windows still boot without a problem and would I still be able to restore the hidden things after a reboot? Would Alcohol still work?
I'm asking this because since I've read a lot of bad things about AntiBlaxx I don't really trust these tools.

And you also rebooted before you restored the hidden drives?

Taken from Playing FEAR.txt:-

I wouldn't use your setup, my setup works perfect except for the fact that my dvd drives are not being recognized by my computer, so if you know how fix that then great.

But here is my setup and it plays the game perfectly

use daemon tools v3.47
get SR7.stop (secure rom 7 stop v1.0)

no need to do windows 2000 mode and no need for virtual cd or anti blaxx

unistall daemon tools
unistall the game
unistall virtual cd
unistall antiblaxx

============================================================================================================================
make sure you have not got alochol 120% installed on your computer

then go to program files and make sure you remove the folders to which those files were installed to.

then restart your computer

now install daemon tools
restart computer when it asks

then enable all emulation on
then mount the image, then install, use the cd key found in the original games nfo

then run sr7.stop and press hide then press the x in the corner of the program to exit it
now double click the desktop shortcut of FEAR.
============================================================================================================================

and all should work, remeber after you have finsihed playing the game you must open up the sr7.stop program and press restore, then unmount the FEAR image in daemon tools and disable all emulation options then you can go about and do whatever you want with your computer.

Just remember to do it in the order i said and everything will work perfect, oh and you must never run the game while sr7.stop is running otherwise everything will mess up.

But the question is what happens when you don't restore them before a reboot.

I dunno about the other games, but as far as F.E.A.R's concerned, SR7 may be better because,
in my case, it avoided me to activate Windows 2000 compatibility for the game exe.
