I tried AC.It didn't really balst my mind, but yes, it feels exactly like I remember LFS.
Altough I'm having problems setting up my wheel. How can I tell AC to actually lock at 360°?
My wheel can't do more than 360° physically, but the game keeps turning the wheel.
Also, even if I set steering lock to 360°... I can clearly see when turning the wheel 90°, it is not 90° in-game. That's lame.

pCars, GTR2, Simraceway, iRacing, LFS, ... I managed to setup it up in all of these games, can't figure it out on AC, yet.

the game is curently made for 900 deg users, but i think theyll make a fix lower deg users.

also a little tweak but helps a lot: set max framerate to 60, its a lot smoother then.

You said that AC will be the standard for normal cars, but so far the cars in their list consist of what is there in Project Cars. It's been a while since I played AC, so I'll have to give it a go again. How good is it playable with a 360 pad?

Graphics wise they also have a long way to go:

It's very playable, there's also a default setting for the 360 controller, but you can alter all the parameters to your liking. There are plenty of options Razz

Heh, turns out team member was the best license to get. Although it's considered "weekly" the updates are following nearly daily.

Some new shots:

The last 3 are so easy to take as real photos. Fucking incredible what they achieved so far, visual-wise.

Yep, so essentially not having to pay that extra 20-30 euros is great. I will immediately pay the difference once released though.

Kinda makes we wonder, is there touch screen racing games already?
(Well I guess with the Android and iOS store profitability anything would have been explored by now, anything not directly illegal or outside the ToS/EULA that is, mostly.)

Flappy Cars will be exclusive to the Xbox One at launch (due to extensive use of ‘the power of the cloud’) and is completely free-to-play with an optional $50 in-app purchase revealing the developer’s home telephone number where players can leave voicemail messages saying how bad the game sucks.

A HD Remake of the game is already underway too, known as “Project CARS” and will feature improved gameplay, graphics, car physics, features, online play, well just about everything really.

iNs, sorry you can't get in anymore, not until the game is released. When it was non-steam I gave my account info to humpers so that they can give it a try, but no way I am giving away my steam account

Project CARS – New Videos Show Impressive WIP Water, Smoke, Gravel & Grass Effects

Quote:
YouTube’s member ‘lukas mensik’ has shared a number of videos from Project CARS, showing off some WIP effects such as water, gravel, grass and smoke. As noted, this is still WIP effects and do not reflect the quality of those that will be found in the final version of the game. Still, they look quite impressive for early effects so make sure to give them a go!

I have no words, didn't see that yet in-game... gonna try it right now! Very Happy

Me neither. So, so bad. They try to make it look cool but all it is it's just unrealistic.

Where do I start... first off the "grass smoke" or "earth smoke" looks exactly like the tarmac smoke only in brown and with additional particles.

The tarmac smoke looks ultra unrealistic. It looks like a smoke emiting device to me:

LOL man, don't try so hard... Reaction first its a racing game, not a fluids / smoke simulator, and second its a WIP.

Well I'd say that is a damn fine smoke implementation. During acceleration you also pull the smoke particles on spinning tires with you... basically like the "super cool" feature from that NFS pro street or whatever that ones name was Laughing

BTW: Played my first round with a proper setup Fanatec Porsche GT3 V2 CSR (newest firmware) and it was a blast! Manual gear, no deadzone on any pedal and it was really amazing. The only thing that I expected different was the FF. There is always a pretty high resistance in the wheel but I expected it to be quite light and the faster you go, the stiffer it gets. But it wen't from hard to ultra hard Laughing
