jesus wtf is wrong with you? you're gonna steal a legit cdkey so that when a person actually PAYS for that box, he's gonna have issues getting online? That's low man.
What happened to "If you enjoy the game, Buy It?" You're a perfect eample of why I hope pc game piracy dies. I don't have a problem downloading the game, because I figure most people are like me: they play the game for a week/till they beat it, then it sits on a shelf for years. Unless the game has indefinite replayability because of multiplayer, I generally wait until the game is a bargain price ($20) to buy it, ie: SC:CT (of which I haven't pirated because I don't feel like casting voodoo magic just to play a game)
But man...if I ever saw someone do what you are...stealing cd keys, I'd likely throw you through a console display case. You know what a consumer has to do just to get a legit cd key when the one they have has been stolen/misprinted? It's a fucking pain in the ass, and usually means that brand new game you're dieing to play has to wait until the company sends you a new key.
Fuck man. You're scum.

Do yourself a favor and get good ram, don't buy Value crap. Especially since you're bothering to buy a quality motherboard and all.
Asus's 7800GTX runs really well, too, btw.

lol I so agree, but refrained from posting it. You do realize that people that low can't give a shit? If they had any morals or ethics at all, they wouldn't be doing what they are doing.

F.E.A.R. Performance Issues? You Are A Pirate!
According to Vivendi's FEAR community manager, people who are having performance issues with the retail version of FEAR, are all pirates! In this community thread Greg raised quite a ruckus when people who pre-ordered Monolith's FPS F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) complained of stuttering and performance issues, by calling them pirates. While apparently FEAR apparently has been warezed, people claim certain online outlets have shipped the game ahead of tomorrow's official release date. While pirates usually only remove protections, it is very questionable how such impacts performance at all.

Is there no Mods here that can deal with ppl like Waffen-SS etc...
Game is ok..not great...Nice graphics but a sooooo confusing (or just wierd) and booring story.
Would liked to have seen bots like this in many other "better" games, so sure not bad. All in all I give it a 7.5 out of 10. And for the scary bit...well they used some stuff like the falling ceiling plates or suddenly falling down trough a pipe in to water and what have you, typical movie stuff, scary?...well not realy, more like startling or something. Music, I must give this one a 9, pretty brilliant soundtrack there, goes with the situation pretty much spot on.

The end, no, I mean everything reminded me of HL2, but this was a lot worse.
Whoever has played through this game and still think it's "WOW!" is fooling him/herself.
This game is an average FPS, period.
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

Gotta agree with that. The comparison w/ HL² seems inevitable.
Yet HL² was superior in almost every ways :
- Level design.
- Diversity of situations.
- Clever use of physics. (though not enough maybe).
- Fun and richness of gameplay.
Actually playing FEAR made me want to play HL² again \o/, or SWAT 4, for a *real* strategy shooter.
But as everyone tends to agree, there are a couple of areas in which FEAR excels :
- AI.
- Intense gunfights.
- Graphics. *
* Then again, I play it w/ a Athlon 2000+ and a 9600xt at 800x600 - everything 'Medium'.
Both HL² and D3 ran *much* better on my rig ( especially for D3 <- Not everyone can code like Carmak : D ), while being as visually impressive, if not more.
On the other hand I'm looking forward to online play, which should be really good.
edit : sorry for my bad english.

I couldn't sink my teeth into HL2. I didn't bother with SWAT 4 as I didn't like the others.
This game, I really liked. It was definitely the 'asian horror' element, as some people are calling it. Yeah, it was stolen mostly from The Ring, but then... I liked that movie. Especially the original, in japanese.
Yeah, I'm at the end and getting bored and only going to finish it to see the plot, but I had fun and that's all that counts, for me.

WEll , the strong point of fear is the gunfight and its why the game is very fun .
But hl2 have its good point , so doom3 too .
But the best gunfight and effect are in fear , so danm cool and fun .

I installed the game and a about 6-10 minutes later it would completely crash.
I upgraded to the latest nvidia drivers: 81.XX and the game doesn't crash anymore, however, it freees for a few sencods, I hear a horrible sound (I guess it is trying not to crash) and then it continues).
I run a P4 3.4ghz 6800 Ultra 4X512MB
Any ideas?
