new dwagon age screenshot.

from what I can tell it looks like a late autumn/winter environment with average looking water reflections and a bleak skybox with mountains in the background.

funny, on reddit they seem so impressed that it's "in-engine" and doubt that it will look like this in-game... I really don't think it looks that good.

why not ? It looks like a bf4 scenery shot. Which is the same engine. So that could very well be ingame.

that's what I implied, but reddit thinks different.

I think people are just overly skeptical of any screenshot now with the watchdogs and dark souls 2 fiasco.

No idea how you can find that screenshot to be just average to be honest, I personally think it looks great.

Show me any unmodded screenshot of any RPG released right now (other than The Witcher 2) that looks like that.

The problem is not making it look that good, the problem is making it run fine while it looks that good. Such screens mean nothing unless you know it's from gameplay running at a reasonable fps on a reasonable PC. I can make GTA4 or Skyrim look incredible, but it will cripple my PC.

At least it looks less.... well, blue/white than the usual Frostbite stuff, so it looks okay to me.

But it doesn't look as amazing as to warrant a disbelief of it being in-game.

After all it is just environment.

I do admit the lighting looks above average.

If you want to know how it probably will look and run just watch some battlefield 4 videos. Its frostbite. They have like a dozen games with that engine in the pipeline iirc.

If it looks bad when its out the blame is on the artists not the engine. Whatever you wanna say about bf4, it sure can look pretty ( imho ) and thats the minimum I expect them to deliver on the GFX front.

If you believe an RPG can deliver the same graphically as a shooter, even on the same engine, you'll be disappointed.

I think Battlefield 4 looks better than WItcher 2, but I also think Battlefield 4 is limited. The Witcher 2 has much more going on onscreen, so it's much more impressive. WIth a shooter, a dev can control a lot onscreen (and throw in some scripted effects and so forth).
My opinion obviously.

Well, I guess people being more skeptical is the only good thing that came out of A:CM Laughing

My opinion obviously.

Unless you compare it to BF4 in multiplayer, where nothing on screen is controlled and it's full of unscripted and unpredictable mayhem.
Granted, MP is not quite one the same level in terms of visual fidelity as SP is. But it's on a much larger scale and I could still argue that even in multiplayer it looks better than most games out there. A lot of it just goes unnoticed due to hectic action. There is also plenty of aggressive LOD scaling at distances, which wouldn't look so nice in an open world game.

DA3 will be the first time we will see how Frostbite handles something on larger semi open-world scale. DICE talked about how Bioware has a lot more different objects on screen than what they did in BF4.

Then again, Bioware might not be aiming as high as DICE with the visuals.
Mirrors Edge 2 should be interesting, being an open world game directly from DICE.

Ok finished and to be honest i didn't really like it. It was fun going back to Rapture but the stealthy wanna-be gameplay got on my nerves since it doesn't really work.

The main game was much better for me, as a "normal" FPS. Also i appreciate the effort to tie the story, but it just doesn't work.

BioWare is evolving how romantic relationships will work in Dragon Age: Inquisition. Whereas previous games have offered only one kind of romance, Inquisition will allow you to end up falling for your heated rival, or fooling around with a friend.

So glad they are concentrating on the really important things, like being able to gayfuck the game's villains.

If BioWare really had balls, they would in fact allow no other option, but to suck the main enemy's dick so hard, that it would die of a heart attack ...

I wish devs would cut the crap and stop with this romance bullshit already. It usually goes as follows: conversation starts "yes -> yes -> no -> no -> yes" -> hot sex scene I don't see -> give me my fucking bonus already -> thanks you.

Haha, completely agree Very Happy None of it feels "fluid" or natural, with the possible exception of The Witcher which felt far better than anything BioWare have done in regards to sex.
