If you download all these shader beasts (that generate the lighting and reflections in the image) then it can be quite hard on the gfx.

It's just too bad that dogs are too stupid to become oncologists. They're trying to create an artificial nose of sorts now; it'd be a huge help in some types of cancer if you could detect them at their early stages.

If we can build machines that are able to determince parts of million in a gas, we surely should be able to detect what the dog smells. I guess the scientists "just" need to understand WHAT exactly trigger the dogs reactions :/

That's precisely the issue, interpreting the data correctly (and reliably, doubt the patients would take kindly to false news about cancer during their routine check-ups Razz). There are some projects that have reached the testing stages already: http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-26472225
