The fact that an i5 4670K with 16 GB RAM and a GTX 780 can't maintain steady 60fps at 1080p is the irrefutable proof that GTA IV was the first and only internally self-emulated PC game, an example of expert programming craftsmanship that no one else has been able to replicate so far. A whole new level of brilliant laziness.
It's a real shame that Rockstar doesn't want to share the tech behind this cutting edge emulation project, they fear that we'd end up converting RDR and GTA V too, and that's not good..because fuck you PC gamers.

shame, because Max Payne3 received FANTASTIC port, so rdr could jsut aswell too. Fuckers...
gta iv is that kind of game which really works better downsampled, maxed out but limited to 30fps... it dips anyway and the game feels terrible in between 30-60

Now try it @ Windows XP. You will be getting rock solid 60fps all the fucking time. Also force FXAA via Nvidia Control Panel.

Had they released GTA V on PC, or announced that they were going to release it I would have bought it. Now I'm going to borrow my mates 360 and GTA V when he goes abroad to work for 6 months at the end of April. I'm determined that I'll not buy a 360 just to play one game. I borrowed a 360 a few years ago to play RDR too. Fuck you Rockstar, and now if you do ever release GTA V on PC I'll pirate it anyway.
Quite frankly I don't give a cows cunt if they release this for PC or not as they've treated PC gamers with such disdain in releasing the game on 10 year old hardware, whilst ignoring a far superior platform..........wankers.
Btw why has the GTA V thread been locked? It's a fucking forum isn't it? Wtf is going on around here, some kind of Stalinist culture taking hold? If you don't like the GTA V thread don't read it, simple really, but don't lock it FFS!

Well blame Pololololo for the thread being locked. In my opinion a ban would have been better suited than a thread being locked.
At one point we did make it farcical, but we stopped when the mod asked us. Except for pololololo he kept on going and going and going...
And in the end the lock didn't help since his GTA V nonsense creeps up in other threads now

Is there anyone who played iv and v and prefer iv ? Am I the only one whoes fav gta this is ?
anyway, steam version. Since I don't own expansions, how to get rid of new menu ? I want the game to start into gtaiv straight and not have those stupid ballad of hay tony loading screens.
And one more question. Anyone else noticed that water detail is resetting to low ? It says very high in options but I have to reaacept the option once in a while and then its really very high...
