Anybody put Star Citizen into an ebay search. Pretty interesting. I would have jumped on this alpha access but thought I had all the time in the world. oops. Do I start looking for someone selling one or is it even worth it?

Not really, I wouldn't pay a higher price for it. Unless you can't wait and have high end gear. Think you're better off with waiting for more Alpha slots at normal price or for when its in a Beta stage. |

@Sabin Hells no! I was just talking alpha access. One as in an account. Below should be out of anyone's range and they should be locked away if they even "think" that is justified.

So let me get this right. After the big reveal, they then made a 'limited' number of alpha slot enabled packages available - quick quick buy now before it's too late!... then once the 'ran out' of these packages... suddenly DFM passes can now be purchased anyway.
So you didn't *NEED* to buy the game package to get alpha access to the DFM.. they just made out that you did.
Great work there, almost worthy of being in EA....

It all started when they gave "limited" LTI to Kickstarter backers. TBH I didn't pay for the kickstarter only because the $35 pledge had no insurance or mb it was only 1 month. I think only pledges $1k+ had LTI. Weird thing now is the Kickstarted page is edited and any mention of LTI is removed and I can't check for sure. Then after they decided to sell all packages with and give everyone LTI as a "gift" for the great KS success I joined.
I am sure there were lots of people like me and such kinda backstabbing marketing stragety by CIG is earning them good money so far. But I am sure nobody is going to protest against it seeing how 90% of the community reacts.

This is becoming very much a 'milk them till they're dry' campaign. I absolutely guarantee 100% they had no idea it would be so successful, I can only imagine the liver gnawing the previous investors are doing right now.
The game will be good, there is no doubting it. But what's going to happen due to their greed, is the game will be released - and no fucker will buy it cos pretty much anyone was was going to get it will already HAVE it - so I hope they don't expect this gravytrain to continue indefinitely...
I wonder what would happen should this fail epically... would they return all money paid by backers? Would they sell ALL development assets? Would they legally be obliged to even GIVE the money back?
I have gone from  to  to  and finally to  in the space of about 6 months.

ROFL you guys are so positive. Why don't you guys save your praise for an actual company that has provided a product? This is the most awesome kickstarter project ever and still it does not excuse the lack of solid information, the terrible fanboys, the lousy community or the constant delays to what should be the most basic of functionality; flight combat. It all seems flawless to you guys. Really really do not understand why all of you feel the need to talk this up so badly. But whatever floats your boat.

Twist it around and it's all the same to me. Valid concerns have been raised and not a single fanboy has done anything except shoot them down or brush them off. CIG has taken an *enormous* amount of crowdfunding money and has nothing to show for it so far except a hangar (that rapes machines) and a couple of videos of dogfighting that Roberts wasn't able to show off during a live presentation without it crashing and giving up. Then the constant monetisation aspects. They're valid concerns and I really don't care if people think this is the best game ever, this is a forum and since I have a full game package I intend to voice my concerns whenever and as much as I choose.
I was beyond excited at the start, but that has long since started to melt away in the light of obscene monetisation, bullshit excuses and a product that couldn't even run for a half hour presentation. That is incredibly worrying. This may well end up being the very best space game ever made, but it ISN'T right NOW, so your praise is just as pointless as my criticism. If the game comes out and proves to be every bit as awesome as it claimed to be, I'll be amongst the first to cheer - but for now all I'm hearing, practically every day, is another reason to be worried and concerned.
