I am already having problems with not being properly geared with my first templar run on Master difficulty (so not "heirlooms" and legendaries gemmed from previous runs). Level 59 and I am already deep into RoS. Struggling with finding various skill combos to scratch mobs and to survive. Oh dear...
Farming is out of the question, of course. |
Not a bug, as in it is by design.
do I have to quote a whole fucking forum for your lazy ass:

Do I detect a hint of malcontent in your tone? Read again my post! It is not whining, it is not a question, it is merely a statement about how I choose to play the game + a reaction to (Blizz's decision) the info posted about the loot drops.

So fucking what? Reduce the difficulty until you find decent gear. In a game as random as this there's no shame. Besides, going from your level to 70 is extremely quick especially doing bounties and rifts. |
My first run as templar means I did not finish the game so no access to RoS extra gamemodes. Also, the point was to advance as much as possible in a hard mode option. But let's just be casual, not give a fuck about what is the point and push buttons to ease up our life...
I love challenges and hard difficulty settings. And I am curious to see if there is a point in this game BESIDES running for gear. Like... a good skill management (probably not, but I can always experiment with builds and see results for myself = not copying builds from net).

good skill management -> get a legendary with a skill bonus, build your skill set around it.

There isn't really. Besides avoiding all the CC effects from elite packs and bosses, not a whole lot of skill involved, just knowing your skills and pressing the right keys at the right time. Besides that the game difficulty is highly dependent on your gear, and your gear is highly dependent on your luck with the drop rate.

So, have people figured out there's no point without the RMAH yet - or are they still grinding for gear to optimise a character that can do nothing but grind more gear?

The PC is no matter, since there are lot of peoples with high end systems and boom, in my case shits like that happen since 2.0 launched, they fucked up something in engine.

I found this post about RNG and drop rates very informative: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/12504871619
I got bored pretty quickly. The endless grind when there is no actual end-game just bores me to tears and the terrible loot drop rates do nothing to help. The game has nice graphics, sound and physics and the combat is satisfying. Too bad Blizzard jacked it up. Compare D3 development cycle to Marvel Heroes ... Just to highlight for those who won't bother reading: PVP getting a lot of work, Raids going in to alpha, better crafting and more runewords, new tech to have stuff like random world boss fights with special unique (think legendary in D3) drops, new AA system that is more like EQ than D3, new story chapter, 100% free expansion in June, etc... Yea, Blizzard should have kept David Brevik and kicked Jay Wilson to the mutha fucking curb.
Code: | In Development
We are working on the following things, to be released in the coming weeks and months.
Mac alpha testing is underway. Closed beta will begin once we need more testers.
We're finishing up our matchmaking algorithm for PVP. This means any PVP matches that result in uneven teams will have compensatory buffs to try and even up the teams. This may also be used for "leavers" in PVP and X-Defense.
We're in the alpha testing stage for raid zones. They look beautiful and intimidating. They should launch alongside our completely 100% free game expansion in June.
The animation team has completed work on Psylocke and she is working her way through to the VFX and SFX pipeline. She will likely launch in late May. It's hard not to love a psychic ninja with a cool outfit.
We're working on additional crafting quality of life improvements and crafting recipes.
More runeword recipes, including a Runeword themed week in the near future.
We've completed the tech to automate events like Odin's Bounty. This will open up some amazing things we can do. Imagine a world boss challenge every 30 minutes throughout the day, with a special unique item dropping from each one.
Trading back end is completed. Next step is to finish the front end of the system in May. Pretty excited for that.
Our alternate advancement inspired system is in development, with the back-end completed. Additional UI and design should have it launch in the second half of May.
We have some shared daily quests coming and a veteran reward feature rolling with the next big patch.
Achievement back-end work is 50% done. It looks like it will be ready in June.
The Wakandan Mine One-Shot Story chapter will be ready in less than 3 weeks!
