I uninstalled episode 1, but maybe it's a savegame issue? I completed episode 1 with the first version (pre 1080p patch version). Anyway, I see people on other sites having same issue as me.

And I just cleared the save game folder and started a new game, and there I also get crash when closing the safe in the art gallery (room 1 in the game). So it seems that the FLT is crashing for at least some people. I wonder how the gog release will fare.

Solved the crashing! (sort of). Tried GOG version and that one works just fine. FLT just keeps crashing for me and will also crash if i look at achivements, gog shows achieves just fine Smile

I have the new FLT version and saves from the first 720p release (got to around 30%) and it worked fine, strange you had problems.

Finished it a moment ago, all in all it was pretty decent, but I don't think I'll replay it like I did with BS1-3.

The FLT release has been grp.req nuked because it does not allow
you to continue to Episode 2. Enjoy a working release.

This release is standalone and contains the episode 1 as well.

There is a crackfix that solves a crash at the end of episode 1 so you can proceed to Spain and continue to play the game so you dont have to downloaded whole game again. Crackfix is working fine so far.

I've been playing this for the last 2 days (I was waiting for part 2 to be released before starting). I have to say, this is surely BS1 levels! So Much Win None of that BS3 and BS4 bullshit so far. And it looks so beautiful too Me Gusta

Gameplay wise, the puzzles feel so natural and diverse as well and I love some little touches like the fact you can call other characters over the phone and talk to them regardless of if you need them for solving the problem at hand or not. Really loving it, and it's a serious candidate to become the best point-and-click adventure game I ever played, Longest Journey playthrough pending of course

I had no problems with continuing from episode 1 to 2 on the first FLT release. There were 4 files in the crack folder, everything worked perfectly for me.

Thankfully not everyone was unlucky enough to need the crackfix Smile

Neither. Get GOG one.
If you can't find it get the RLD proper or use the unprotected GOG exe on the FLT nuked release.
You've got plenty of options. Grab the GOG. Razz

Started playing last night.

The nostalgia instantly hit me. I was back in 1997 on a Pentium II So Much Win

I passed the first two scenes, and so far, it has that great Broken Sword feeling, and is a step up from the 3d graphics sequels.

Completed it. Overall, really enjoyed it. Right of the bat, the first thing that needs to be said.

Rofl Saxon

Barrington Pheloung

and all the background artists

The first episode was noticeably of higher quality in every department IMO, so i'm a bit sad they didn't have enough funds to make it fully to their vision.

I was really surprised that some insane puzzles just came to me instantly. Cockroach one near the end of the game comes to mind. I can't believe such a weird puzzle solution came to me without a second thought Very Happy

Then there were a few ball breaking ones, like tabula veritatis translation and the music puzzle. I had to use hints for those. just too time consuming for me.

Overall it took me 13 hours according to the save file counter.

Just got a 6.5GB update for this.

Didn't find any changelog. But according to some posts it might be the Enhanced Edition?
I started the game, but don't see anything that might indicate that though.

Both Broken Sword 1 AND 2 had the original versions added to their Director's Cut versions as DLC.
