Yeah it seems like a pretty common issue with ppl. I haven't heard/seen any reaction from CIG about it but i'm sure they know it's an issue with folks. If not then they will know for sure after the dfm is released. If it's something that alot of people don't like i'm sure they will change it.

How dare you say something bad about this glorious game! ... is what the forum dwellers over there would say about anyone complaining about it! ( most likely in a nastier way tho )

Congratulations RSI, not only have you put people off of your product - you've managed to keep their money too.

I just watched that recent video and honestly, the only thing that I enjoyed seeing was the actual atmosphere of space itself. All of the debris along with the asteroids really made it look good and how I envisioned space could be. Definitely a plus over the rather horizontal asteroid area that I've seen with Elite.
I also noticed jerky performance whereas I have seen none with Elite so far.
I don't like the missile lock either for SC. Just seems out of place for everything the game is trying to be. Then again, I think the SC HUD looks bad as well. Seems a bit too busy. G-forces is something I never thought I'd see in a space sim, but that's been talked about to death so I'll leave it at that.
The above comes with the following disclaimers: I've not played SC. I've not played anything beyond the first couple of combat scenarios in Elite. Obviously these are my opinions hehe. Overall, I'm looking forward to both, but I am concerned with some of their direction and decisions lately. The towel thing, the fish bowls... all of this stuff should be secondary. I don't mind them in the longrun, but they should concentrate on the core mechanics first I think.

Change the record Casus, it's getting old. This is a forum, where people are allowed to whine, as much as they are allowed to blindly support. If you don't like the post(s) just ignore it, like people (including me now) have done to you.

What is exactly so vastly different between the scopes of SC and Elite?
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

All I have seen so far are flashy gimmicks, with little substance. I am not impressed. The only thing I got from all the info up untill now is "it looks great (though it'll rape my system)". I think that's sad, since I want this game to succeed.

If people didn't speak out, or whining as you put it. How would the things that people didn't like get changed? Seems a lot of people don't like the lock on, so if no one speaks out it doesn't get changed and goes from WIP to final.
People pledged money via Kickstarter, some large amounts. I think that gives people a valid reason to whine when they see something they don't like, and then they can actively change the final product.
I was part of ED alpha from the start, we tested and sent bug tickets / suggestions / asked for things, whinged about things, and guess what?? they listened. I whinged there was no TrackIR in game. Some said i was being unreasonable wanting old tech when Oculus is just around the corner, no one uses trackir! Next patch .. Trackir support.
So bollocks to not voicing your opinion, to hell with what others may think

Star Citizen though wants to be the next benchmarker for the coming years of gfx cards and they need to convince me that it hasn't completely become an obsession. They've set out to implement new tech as an ongoing thing and that's fine, but let's have a game that's fun to play first.
I'm looking forward to learning their answers to people who feel the animations ruin the flow and snap of gameplay. Like watching your guy planting his ass in a chair for the 100000 time, and having to get up of the chair for the 100000 time while your ship explodes around him he still gets up at the same pace. They've said that they won't create different sets of animations to accommodate for different states of alertness.

Lol at anyone who's thinking that even a half of the things promised in this game will actually become a reality.
Double lol at anyone that pledged more than 15 bucks for a thing that doesn't even exist yet.

They're doing a lot claiming its for the sake of 'immersion'.
I wonder if they're prepared throw everything they've spouted about the immersion factor out of the window to make the gameplay snappier or if they stick to their guns even when the masses cry for blood.
