https://forums.marvelheroes.com/discussion/85293/advance-patch-notes-for-this-week-10/p1
If you go to the forums, you will see there are actually 10 separate posts about this weeks patch... Crazy. So many cool things coming up, it's really hard to keep up with and Jeff "Doomsaw" Donais as well as Ryan "Ryolnir" Collins post so much, a lot of key info can be hard to find. Hell, Doomsaw's last post was at 6:00 AM last night (think it's 3:00 PST), but damn, that's dedication. His reply to "get some sleep" was he'd sleep some when the patch was defeated in 3 days.

Well Sin317, we know you are one of the ultimate Blizzard/D3 fanboys man, but maybe some other people might find it interesting all the cool shit Gazillion is doing and maybe, just maybe, go over to the D3 forums and demand more. Personally, I tried to like D3 and any time I mention MH, it's out of sheer appreciation for a good product, not this piece of shit trash that Blizzard gave us. I hear what you are saying, but I always keep in the scope/perspective of D3 because I have been a devout Blizzard follower and have spent who knows how much on their games over the years.
But I'll say this. It's been almost 2 years since Blizzard released D3. Now look at what we got with RoS? Did they add PVP? Nope. Did they give us a end-game? Hell no, just look at the 50 page thread on the D3 forums talking about people about falling asleep doing rifts. Did they fix itemization? Kind of, but not really. The loot drop rates suck, the odds of finding a good item are slim and none. Hell, most the people I see bitching about D3 have like 300 hours since RoS. The bottom line is most people were very underwhelmed because it's obvious Blizzard doesn't give a shit about the D3 players and their paying customers.
Now when I mention MH, I try to relate it to features that D3 SHOULD HAVE. Like I said, PVP, raids, new heroes every single month, cool itemization. Hell, just this upcoming weekend, they asked for people 10 favorite "events" (Easter, New Years, Don't Fear the Reaper (obviously making fun of D3), etc.) and are combining ALL 10 events in to one this coming weekend.
Blizzard is a bunch of lazy asses who's only care is making money. They probably have a fucking skeleton crew on D3 RoS right now for PC and are 100% focused on getting it out on the consoles. So maybe I'm just a little bitter about the pill they gave me. I paid/pay good money for their games and they keep shafting me. I'm sorry if you don't like what I post, but you are more than welcome to ignore it and if I mention anything MH related, bet that it will be relevant to D3 and its lack of features or ideas that people like you should be over on their forums bitching about because a fucking F2P game is kicking their asses in terms of customer satisfaction, content, features and new additions.

Raids ? in a Diablo game ? no thanks, this is not world of warcraft, and Marvel Heroes is a Diablo clone mixed with an mmo it might make sense there even if i dont agree, didnt find it interesting to see 100 wolverines running around etc. Diablo 3 at the moment has endgame, with the high torment difficultys and rifts, diablo is all about loot hunting, not raids or whatever is hot in mmos right now.

Lol.. what item hunt and to what end? You are doing the same thing over and over, the same rehashed content. Now I will admit I liked Act V a lot. Mathiel is super cool and I will snatch him up when he's released in HotS (been playing the alpha, fun game but needs better way to get currency). The thing is, when I go to the D3 forums, all I see is complaints. Almost nowhere do you see any praise to Blizzard and why is that? Because they don't care. They got our money and now have moved on to other things. Where is the ongoing support? Where is the new content? MH has pushed out more content in the past couple months than Blizzard has in the past 2 years. That's sad.
And MH isn't WoW, that's a Blizzard product of course. MH is trying to push the envelope, putting out serious end-game content that is super challenging and interesting, not adding a bunch of zeros to the end of mobs HP/Damage (which is all that D3 difficulties really are). I get what you are saying, but there is no end-game in D3. Where is PVP? Where is the endless dungeon like Torchlight had (MH has this coming btw)? Where is the exciting loot? Pretty much everyone I know who bought RoS has gotten bored and quit because, well to be quite honest, it's just not that fun.

Its loot hunt you either like it or dont, thats exactly what diablo 2 was all about aswell, besides the fact drop rates were even lower for the best items. The worst thing about this game was the itemization and AH, iam happy with the game right now, theres always things you can improve but the core of the game is true to its origins now.

Diablo 2 had somewhat interesting PvP, ladders and you could actually trade the best items - making the social aspect of the game meaningful. Also, the game came out in the year 2000.
It's not a crime to evolve genres.
D3 has no reason to acquire loot except to acquire more loot.
It's a typical Blizzard response to bitching. They ignore the core of the issue and let the whiners dictate their design changes.
They went and gave away most of the best items for a trivial effort. Legendaries for EVERYONE with a few hours invested in the game. Oh, I wonder how long it will take before people get tired of that? It takes a genius to figure this kind of thing out!
Obviously, they don't understand what makes Diablo different from WoW - and I have no doubt their way of keeping the game going is to introduce an ever-increasing loot tier system.
Oh wow, a new tier of loot to grind for, for no reason.

I was being kind and didn't mention the RMAH, but thanks for reminding us all.
Yeah, RMAH would at least have been one reason to grind loot beyond grinding more loot.
But I'd take anything that'd make the loot hunt more interesting.

isn't getting the best loot for beating the most harder Boss/Difficult is whole the point of thee kind of games,Regret Diablo 3?
as for PVP.
of course, better PVP will be welcome. however, even being objective, you would say Blizzard did tried at least improve PVP over D2,they failed on that, but they are not gods, hopefully they are still working on new PVP system aside what we have now.

personally i find very interesting that is almost 2 years later and black widow (my favorite char, and the reason that i started and stopped playing) is still shit, no matter how many promises they gave in the bw forum and during this time they made other chars which were already fotm -> godlikeotm.

I guess you are right, sorry dude. I just get fucking agro about Blizzard sometimes and calling you a fanboy while going on about MH was a mistake, I will admit.
So I will give it up about MH. I didn't mean to turn in to such a ramble. It's too bad Blizzard screwed the pooch with D3 though. They don't seem interested in making it a good game, which was really all I was trying to point out initially about MH and the stuff they are doing. But I'll leave further MH info in the MH thread. Sorry for getting off topic. But if you do like D3 and haven't played MH in a long time, it's a good time to give it a shot. It's a much better game than D3 in just about every regards.
As for D3, fuck Blizzard for not doing a better job on the loot and the whole "drop per hour" thing is some serious bullshit. Here was the post that really explains the problem with D3 loot/drops and I'll leave it at that: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/12504871619

and i'm done.
according to my friends list, 25 / 30 people are done aswell.
will play again when blizz will boost drop rate of leg to at least half of yellow's.
set/leg drops are to rare. and when you finally get one, is shit, is useless, you already have a better version.
we played 3 wd for 5-6 h / day for 4 days (4 for some time), wd which we comfortably farm t1 and one got a fairly good zuni piece during this time. rest of drops were beyond shit. we got nothing to give from one to another. again, we are at t1-t2 gearlevel. not t6.
this is not bad rng. this is a joke.
what was the last drop for me, which ended d3 ?
one friend had a grandeur ring. a great one.
in the same day, he got 4 more, which he salvaged. i dont have any, and i split farmed like mad on normal for one. in the 4 days we run in wd party's we run rifts, i opened 90% of portals, and i still have left like 400 pieces in my stash.
kadala ... i spent shitloads on it form the beginning looking for magefist gloves.
i got ~6 gloves, none of those rolled with cc or chd, to work with it.
i dont have any specific skill build legendary to work with. i'm not talking about hunting specifically for the head with pet damage (from our 4 wd, just one have it). i simply dint get any. after all this time, i manage to get 2 zuni set pieces. hell, i dint get a puzzle ring, which seems to have dropped for 99% of diablo players.

Shacknews: No rest for the weary. Even after releasing Reaper of Souls, you guys are already looking ahead to the big summer update. Can you tell us about some of what you have planned for 2.1?
Production Director John Hight: We're working on two major systems for the 2.1 release, first is Seasons. Seasons are a shard of the existing game where everything is a fresh start. You start with a brand new character without access to any of the gold or items you collected with your primary account for the length of the season. We plan on creating brand new, powerful legendaries that only drop within in the season. After the season ends, all of your progress — your experience, your items, your gold, etc. — will be rolled into the main roster. The goal is the fresh-start feeling — so many changes and tweaks have happened since the launch of Diablo III — it is really energizing and fun to recreate that 'first-moment-in-a-new-game' feeling.
We've also added leaderboards. Players can race on a variety of metrics to try to become the leader in their region or the top of their friends and clan lists. That friendly competition angle lends itself really well to Diablo games.
Second is Tiered Rifts. Tiered Rifts are variations on the Nephalem Rifts concept from Reaper of Souls. You have a timer to finish a Rift (kill enough monsters to draw out the boss and slay the boss) and the better you do, the more challenging the level that you get to tackle. For example, if you finished a Tiered Rift in just a few minutes, you’d get to jump ahead to a much harder rift. These will also have unique rewards, custom leaderboards, etc. Tiered Rifts are a new end game activity that offers both challenge and competition but are easy enough for everyone at max level (70) to try.

As a heads up, we’re looking to make two changes to Horadric Caches. The first change is to allow the caches to drop Torment-only Legendary items. The second is to increase the chance that you’ll find a Legendary item in Horadric Caches, including Act-specific Legendaries like the Royal Ring of Grandeur, based on the Torment difficulty. What this means is that Horadric Caches earned in Torment I+ will be able to drop Torment restricted Legendary items, and caches earned in Torment II+ will have a scaling bonus for dropping Legendary items (which includes those items only found in a cache).
You can find a list of Torment-only Legendary items right here, courtesy of Nevalistis.

Hey, everyone!
I have some information to share with you about an upcoming change we’re planning to make. We intend to reduce the gold cost to unsocket top tier gems in a future patch. The goal of this change is to help balance unsocketing costs with other resource sinks and make the act of unsocketing a top tier gem feel less punitive. These value below are not final and of course subject to change, but here’s what we’re currently looking at:
• Flawless Imperial from 150k to 125k
• Royal from 250k to 150k
• Flawless Royal from 500k to 175k
We don’t have a time frame to share on when to expect these changes right now, but it is in the works. We’ll be sure to share additional news as soon as we can, and we hope this heads up helps!

So when do higher torment rift bosses start dropping more blood shards?
Well, since you brought it up let's talk a little about that. We're also planning on changing Rift Guardians so that they drop more Blood Shards for each level of Torment past the first (i.e. in Torment II+). For clarity, this means Rift Guardians would drop the same amount of Blood Shards as they currently do in Torment I, but starting in Torment II they would drop additional Blood Shards per each Torment slider tick. This change should arrive at the same time as the Horadric Cache change mentioned previously, which is currently scheduled for our next bug fix/balance patch (patch 2.0.5).*
*Before you crazy hooligans can ask this poor ol’ goatman again, there’s no ETA to share for this patch right now.
And what about rifts? Do you guys plan to make them also scale with torment difficulty??
As a reminder, the scaling bonus chance to find Legendaries you get for Torment I–VI slider stacks multiplicatively with the 100% bonus chance to find Legendaries while in Nephalem Rifts.
