Ok, to keep things on topic, I found a very interesting article on all the stuff that Marvel Heroes has added to the game since it's ill-fated release last June. Read through this stuff and you will see what kind of game D3 could/should have been and the awesome that is Marvel Heroes. Oh, and I'll be the first to tell you, when it was released, MH sucked balls. I was pissed I spent $60, but oh how things have changed.

And if you want to see more about what's coming up in MH, such as mutha fucking RAIDS, free expansion pack in June, Alternate Advancement system that will make D3 paragon look like a bad joke, etc., check out Doomsaw's post from last night:

It's a pretty good game IMO, even better if you actually like superheroes.
I've only been playing since January and a lot has changed/improved since then, with plenty more to come in the near future. I hear the game was pretty bad when it came out but it's well worth a shot these days.

Game was pretty bland at launch, many heroes felt the sam but the devs are very commited to all aspects of the game and with character reviews and alot of added and upcoming content, the game just keeps getting more and more addictive.
Look out for this weekend, they'll be adding alot of special items to find, item find boosts and so on.

No need to pay for anything in this game besides Storage space and Boosts.

Heroes do not drop anymore. Instead "eternity splinters" drop, which is a form of currency used to purchase new heroes.
You will roughly get one 1 splinter every 4-5 mins of gameplay, and 100 just by completing the main story.
Hero cost range from 200 to 600 splinters.

About the only thing you just about have to buy is storage. They did add 50 new slots recently though, which helps a lot. If you play a lot though, you'll probably want to buy some slots.
As for the heroes, if you just want a variety, save up 175 splinters and get a random. You never know if you'll get someone awesome like Ghost Rider, Iron Man or Dr. Strange, or even a duplicate, but it's the cheapest way to get new heroes. I think I have 24 unlocked. Also, the more you have at 30/50/60 the more bonus XP you get for your account. I have over 100% bonus XP. A lot of people actually have the max which is 200%.

I got Thor and Iron Man... missed out on Loki. Also they had a free hero box a few weeks back and I got Black Widow that way. Most don't last long though, so you gotta really be on top of it.
They do have a buy a hero, get a random hero this weekend, but you have to spend real money to get it. You can buy a $4.50 hero and potentially get a $13.50 one free though.

basically nothing changed.
i got normal nonsteam client, had to let it install over the night (like the first time). download speed was shit. (i get stuff with like 8-10MB from steam and regular torent/internet).
curently bw is still shit. pretty much ignored, noone want it in a party. fragile as hell, low dps, sloppy gameplay.
i looked briefly in bw forum, for the new version, seems like bw is still shit after the review, and noone will ever use drones again. is funny, after all this time, they could not fix a hero. probably they were busy finding ways to add 10+% extra thor damage/month.
will wait to play a bit again and read bw forum on monday, but basically fuck you doomsaw and gazillion for your broken promises.
oh well.

I think I read somewhere that you can use the token you got for the hero you already have to upgrade your ultimate or something? Tho, even if true, I'd still be upset. Got Ghost Rider as my free hero. I'll check it out when I'm a bit further with my main.
Just started today after a green ring in D3 dropped, I got all excited in a moment of naivety and it was another Litany. Needed a change of pace.
I'm positively surprised so far, I was expecting this game to suck ass, but it actually plays pretty responsively. Not as buttery smooth as D3 of course, but definitely better than the F2P experiences I've had so far.
