Just bought a ru key from fast2play for 16.99€ to try the online vpn activation and everything went smoothly game runs from my library like my other games so no need to start the exe or something.
Never really played a souls game online, coop is rly fun so far.

Paxsali at the place with the eagle after running up the dead tree, there is a knight at the end of the road and you just walk through and have to fight some undead until you get out of the "trap". If you talk to him again he'll give you a normal sized soap stone as reward.
@lolo: the fuck did you do to image sharpness? +400%?

After playing some more hours after dinner, I think I can safely say that level design got more interesting. There's enough variety at least, and environments rarely repeat themselves (although some of them seem copy-pasted from DS1..but it's fine).
The bad news though is, bosses are letting me down , a lot!
They're nowhere as epic, terrifying and inspired as DS1's bosses were, too many humanoids and cheap tricks. Also, I absolutely detest multiple bosses. And the game is full of them
It seems to me that this aspect has been designed to favor co-op instead of solo (I only play offline), and it's quite disappointing to be honest. Doesn't really ruin the game, but still, the devs could have come up with better solutions.

Fucking bullshit, I don't remember the original being this hard. |
It gets more fun, try 12 rats in room lol

vanguard is easy. They are slow and you just evade them while finding opportune moments to hit the boss.

Yea I found it too. Now I'm looking at its config screen ingame, but none of the settings seem to change anything? Looks just like before. Do I need to dl something else? |
In case you're still interested, I tried this preset before and it worked: http://www.nexusmods.com/darksouls2/mods/16/?
(unfortunately my poor 570 can't handle all the enhancements and had to disable it in order to keep a decent framerate)

Fuck this game, seriously, 2-3 hits away from finishing off the sentry boss and he hits me THROUGH THE INDESTRUCTIBLE FUCKING WOODEN STRUCTURE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROOM.
This is such bullshit, enemies can hit you through indestructible solid objects? Seriously?
I'm fine with bosses being tough until you learn their behaviour, I'm not fine with bullshit fucking hitboxes.
Fuck's sake FROM.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

I take it your avoiding the dialogue then? For future reference most NPC's have useful things if you exhaust their dialogue, either revealing services or giving items.
Spoiler: |
Sometimes there are other conditions as well, if you talk to the summonable NPC's and then successfully defeat the boss(es) with them summoned you'll inherit their equipment, of course you could also kill them and talk to the old hag - she moves to Majula after you encounter her in the castle/fortress - anyway she sells equipment of NPC's you've killed.
Also for merchants they usually always give you a reward for spending a certain amount of souls on them, that blacksmith in Majula for example will give you his hammer if you talk to him after spending 8000 souls and the armor trader will give you a better selection of gear if you spend 16.000 souls on his stuff, plus he'll be available for buying boss specific equipment after defeating some of them.
