Who the hell has 95-100 agility at the Pursuer? It's the second boss in the game |
i did, but i admit thats mainly due to being blind and completely missing that area, instead venturing off to other lands, beating many bosses before returning later and finding him
either way, this time around on pc i fought him as 2nd boss, and the trick is to constantly keep distance, since he starts his combos early and if you do it right you will only need to rol awayl during his charge attack, which is easy to evade. after every combo run in and deliver a strike or 2 and back away again.
people are having unnecessary trouble with him, i find him to be one of the easier bosses, but thats probably due to differing playstyles.
and btw 95 agl isnt as much as it sounds, i am not talking about adp, base agl is in the 80s for most classes.

Well it seems that each boss has a "style" I found this boss extremely easy by using a buckler and parrying. You keep your distance, he jumps, you parry before he lands, he gets stunned. Couple of hits and then repeat.
If you want to take the easy way, stun him in line with a ballista, go to the ballista, fire, and he will be almost dead.

with some patience, everyone can complete this game without a broken controller, the toughest bosses by far are the optional, avoidable ones.

Oh my fucking God, I was killed by a simple enemy while halfway through the mist on my way to pick up 11,000 souls from a boss arena. Are you kidding me?
Never before has an enemy inflicted damage on me while traversing the mist, now all of a sudden, nope, no souls for you.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

Never before has an enemy inflicted damage on me while traversing the mist, now all of a sudden, nope, no souls for you. | Happened even in Dark Souls... Mostly when I was trying to skip the fat bastards before Ornstein & Smough That's why I roll immediately after I walk through the mist just to be sure that they don't use a strike with a long weapon (Halberd etc)

Dark Souls 2 doesn't seem to be as fair as Dark Souls 1.
I've noticed the NPCs can swing their sword to miss but then home in on you and swivel on their heels to hit u. It feels like they can't miss most times.
DS games were meant to be hard but fair. This feels like the devs designed the game to cheat if they were going to miss.
Not enjoying it as much as I thought I was. Feels like a cash in to me.

your character also homes in on evading enemies during lock-on, so its only fair imo |
True that. But it looks stupid and should be removed.. from player and AI

it does look stupid because they just turn the model, they need to animate it properly instead.
but as for the concept behind it, it makes absolute sense.
in a real fight if you evade someone´s first hit, the opponent wont keep throwing blows in the direction of your old position, but will "home in" on you.
the same applies here, evading the enemy´s first hit and then watching him go on with his combo into the sunset is even more retarded than the current solution.
also imagine how fucking easy the game would be then, you could backstab every foe within a second.

Well, true. But, personally, I remember Dark Souls 1 to be a great, hard and fair game.

Wait. Wait, wait, wait.
Areyou guys saying there is more than one Bossfight with 3 Bosses at once?

There are at least 3 fights that I know of that have more than 1 "boss", and I didn't finish the game yet. The one not mentioned here yet being

you should wait with your final judgement on this until ng+ atleast, it has completely new mobs, positions and loot.

My bad, I thought you were talking about Adaptability
I fought him as second boss and it's tough but doable. Retreating constantly while always making sure that you don't get cornered between him and a wall is the key.

Valve employees have said that no one will be banned for using them these tools don't modify or replace anything anyway, if there where false positives like that there would be a huge uproar and some people have used them in vac secured games for years now. |

Btw - how the fuck do I do the jump attack or kick (defence break)? Hints on the tombs at the beginning stated that it should be left stick up + RB/RT. I've tried it both on my pad and keyboard - nothing.

Strange, they never sit down for me, they make a fucking slam backwards and land on their back instead. | The ogre was the same for me. Patience is the key to win if you can't dodge as good as enb Getting him into a buttslam marathon is the easiest way to win, you just should not push your luck to far, because if you get between him and a wall you are basically done.
Sanchin it's the same as the kick in Dark Souls -> Press forward and R1 at the same time and let go both at the same time instantly. It's very slow compared to the kick in Dark Souls.
Try it some times before engaging an enemy in combat to get the hang of it.
