You can install a mod, but you cannot install taste.

If you think whats added by Gedosato doesn't make the game look better then the only one without any taste here is you Laughing

It's funny to me how peepul risk VAC ban for tools that change the game apperance.

Emphasis on change, not improve.

Not improve as in, not substancially, not unnoticable.

Install some third-party crap tool that changes lighttone and saturation 100%, making the image look totally overprocessed and not normalized, then add 5% better self-shadowing to it, which is not much starting at practically 1% from vanilla game, than post a video on youtube on how much better it looks, which it does not, it's just different, than whine and phearmonger about VAC bans...

No respect for you guys <---- this is what I have.

The VSSAO2 effect is quite a improvement over the games default (low-res) ssao effect, bokeh is subjective and the default DOF isn't that bad though it is just a distant blur effect.

SMAA is nice to have though the game also offers FXAA though sadly no MSAA support.
(DX9 limitation perhaps, if they're using deferred at all after that big change in the engine.)

The downsampling itself is great to have but it's pretty demanding if you have the other effects enabled, I don't use it myself because of that.

That post-process modification is also not something I use but those who like SweetFx or making their own shader modifications will likely love having that functionality.

I'm using offline mode however and though the chance is pretty low getting VAC banned because of a utility is a risk I wouldn't take but again I doubt they'll ban anyone.
(I don't think anyone has yet been confirmed as being banned due to SweetFx or the stand-alone SMAA or FXAA injectors, same goes for utilities like MSI Afterburner, Fraps and DXTory but those are also a bit more well known and thus having a higher chance of being whitelisted or however it works.)

We'll just have to wait a week or two and see if anyone on the Steam forums post about getting banned and can in some way prove it was only because of GeDoSaTo or whatever similar program was being used.
(At the moment it's kinda the other way around, people previously banned via VAC - all of them being innocent apparently, yeah right. - anyway there's a lot of discussions about not being able to play online due to a previous VAC ban.)

also when you drop down, fight one but watch out for the other one cuz he can do a leaping/air attack that can fuck you up from a far.
best way to take the two of them out is get them as close to you as possible so they hit you at the same time, rinse and repeat, 100 phy def shield is recommended.
assuming you're a melee character. Razz

Nothing wrong with a decoy when they throw 3 fuckers at you. Especially at a lower level. Alot of people say don't be a pussy then take the bosses on 20 levels higher than avg lol.

most annoying thing about the ruin sentinel fight was that you had to kill like 10 of those knights before being able to attempt the boss again.

smelter demon was a bit more lenient if only because I had cleared the whole area of katana knights while farming the blacksteel katana..

just need to find some more twinling titanite now to upgrade my old whip for sum pvp action

Really? I just rushed down the stairs, climbed up the ladder into the cell and then sprint right to the boss door, easy

Who the fuck designed the Rat Authority fight Laughing
Little ones swarm you and even if you kill them, you are now poisoned and health simply goes away. Don't even get to fight the real boss.

E: Seems problem was my equpiment. Switched to bastard sword and the little ones were much easier to kill

Yeah I didn't figure out there was a ladder until after the boss fight, so I had to do it the manly(and tedious) way.

YES

------------

Anybody else has massive problems killing those crystal lizards in DS2? Surprised

Out of 5 or 6 i saw, i only managed to kill 2 and loot them. In the desert town i killed one, but his loot fell into that sand pit Laughing

The other times i never seem to hit them with my melee attacks and lock on. Not even thrusts hit them wtf
