I'm wondering if anyone else with comcast has this problem, when downloading close to your downloadable limit, does comcast reset your cable modem, it happens to me quite a bit. If I'm downloading lets say 300k/s for more than 10 minutes it will reset but it doesnt do this all the time I noticed it happens less at night. I can't wait for Verizon to get done their fiber optics i'm defiently switching.

I didn't have any problems like you describe. Sometimes I loose conection around midnight for about 30-60 minutes, but its rare. I do hear some bad stories about people being disconected for a day on weekly basis.

The thing to remember about cable operations, there policies and procedures appear to differ from region to region. Most of it based on whether they have real competition in the market. Also, how many people they have sharing a node. So information from one person may not apply to another.
Example, Comcast has an unknown D/L & U/L usage limit. Some people have been threatened others have had there service turned off in some regions. In other regions people are pulling down HUNDREDS of gigs without retribution from Comcast.
