Yup, pretty much. Half the great team left and formed Monolith Soft, the other half left and formed Mistwalker. The only ones left at SE worth a damn are the likes of Tetsuya Nomura (come on man, go to Mistwalker already!) and Yoshitaka Amano, though he is just commissioned and not really working for SE singularly.

Still playing Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, the game is pretty long, although seems shorter than the Wii game, since the game has been derpified as hell (even Nintendo...) and is a bit easier : the rocket barrels and mine cart phases allows you to take 2 shots before dying, vs 1 shot on Wii. The bosses are harder though IMHO.
Seems like they are doing what they did with the 3DS port...
But you can have the same level of difficulty as the original only after finishing the game when you unlock the hard mode (whereas the original one didn't allow you to choose the difficulty).
Still, even in normal mode, it's one of the hardest game I've ever played in these last 10 years (some levels are terribly frustrating, specially the Temple levels), and I applaud Nintendo for doing that (the rocket barrel and mine cart phases were really frustrating in the Wii game though, because of the difficulty).
Anyway, anyone finished it yet or am I the only one here with a Wii U ?

They made their own bed, releasing stupid underpowered bullshit hardware (3ds not included in that statement), as well as rehashing their old games like a EA-wannabe cashcow bitch - they should be making fun new games not rereleasing the same crap 20 times.
then you've got other stupid things, such as their eshop on 3ds not even selling their DS catalogue. And what they do sell, is way too overpriced.

IMO,3DS can be considered as underpowered as well. however, everything is reletive. because handland games don't useally made to push the hardware forward,and more simpled,most 3DS games still looks as good as most Android/iOS games,and becuase of small screen,no high res needed.
I'm not talking about ports from Consoles PC to handlands,more of like the casual stuffs.

Exploit the vWii part to get free Wii games.
For Wii U get super Mario 3d world and donkey kong tropical freeze too. You should check out the wonderful 101, there is a demo on the eshop.
In a few weeks, you should most likely grab Mario kart 8.
Finally if you want to play the best version of Rayman legends (yes, even better than the PC version  ) then get it too.

Hmm interesting, I'll have to check that out. A friend of mine said I should check out Mario Galaxy as well. I see there are 2 Mario Galaxies, is one better than the other or should I play both?

It seemed to me that SMG2 was better but I only found out about it until recently and I never really liked SMG to begin with... I preferred NSMB Wii a lot more...

if you have not softmodded the wii side of your wii u you really should, just done mine and now have it setup with HDD attached with entire wii catalogue of games. GBATemp has all the info/files required.
