Hey !
I read and some people have the same problem, but I try to solve the problem with your solutions but I do not work !
I installed the game, updated to version 1.1. With Anti-Blaxx, Virtual CD Hide or SR7.Stop nothing work, it always bypass the DVD protection but always says "A required security module can not be activated. This program can not be executed.".
I restarted my cimputer byt it dont work and I also didn't forget to put compatibility mode to Windows 2000.
Somebody have a solution ? Thanks !

Well after playing and finishing the game, I must say this is the best FPS game I ever played, nothing comes close, not even my beloved Half Life 2, not only that I also find this game creepier and scarier then Doom 3.
Despite what other people think I think the story is pretty damn good and intresting once you know what the hell is going on, Im going to play this game again ... I just cant get enough of this excellent game.
I'll give this game the highest score I ever gave any game, 9.8 (despite very very few minor bugs).
And Im also hoping there will be an expansion pack or something.
The game runs fine with 1.1 installed, the performance is suprisingly goodl, 1280x1024 everything on maximum, soft shadows off .. I average at about 50fps, even during heavy fire fights, my fps never drops below 40, the maximum it went up was 120 or so.

1. Remove Win2000 compatibility mode.
2. Goto registry, HKLM/HARDWARE/DEVICEMAP/Scsi, find Daemon Tools and Alcohol port, click on key(s), select permissions and UNCHECK Administrators Read Deny.. Then HKLM/SYSTEM/Mounted Devices, permissions, UNCHECK Administrators Read Deny..
3. Mount the image, run SR7 Stop, click Hide, play! 
When done, click Restore and close SR7 Stop..

Oh damn... It's not as easy as I thought...
I don't know exactly wich are the ports of Alcohol (3 ports seems to be "opened")
I don't know exactly what is Administrator read deny (...lol...) and I don't know where exaclty with what I play, I dont really like to change those things and I'm not sure it will change something... Oh damn oh damn oh damn...
Thnaks a lot to have given me some time, but I think I will try something else... Or play another game..

I would like to discuss the storyline of FEAR and I need some help in clarifying it. Anyone willing to help me out?
1. What does paxton fettel get out of eating people. At the beginning of the game it is said he gets something out of it. What is that?
2. What happened to Janikowski the FEAR agent that is working with you at the beginning of the game?
3. Why is Alma's look like she's 8 in appearnaces through out the game, but when she is released from her prison at the end of the game she is taller and looks like she's older?
4. What exactly is Alma's prison?
5. Why is Alma kept alive?
6. What happened to Alma's mother?
7. Why did Dr Wade release Alma?

1. Never explained. He's probably just psycho.
2. He's dead. The devs had him pinned to a wall at some point in the game, but removed him to 'keep people guessing.'
3. Alma's psychic appearances are probably as she sees herself, last time she was outside her prison. In reality, she's older.
4. It probably dampens her psychic ability and keeps her catatonic.
5. She isn't. She died '6 days' after Fettel was born.
6. Alma's mother was not in the story. Alma IS the mother of both you and Fettel. She is the daughter of Mr. Wade.
7. Cuz he's not real bright? Or maybe she finally got strong enough to influence him enough to control him. Never really explained.

At the begining of the game the when you are breifed on your mission the other F.E.A.R. OP as a joke said "he gets nutrition out of it" ... the real reason why is because he has gone psycho, he lost it.
I love it how when you kill Fettel all of the Clones just stop operating .... so you can walk around and kick them around without being at risk, its pretty cool.

1. He's not just sick. He's got a psychic link to Alma. She tells him to kill the people, eating the bodies is probably an expression on her behalf.
2. Jankowski is seen in the hands of Fettel, which kind of means he's fucked.
3. Alma's image of herself. She's been in a coma-like state ever since that age (which is when I'm guessing things first got ugly.) She was put in it to suppress her abilities.
4. Alma's "prison" as it was shown in the videos is what she was kept in when she was young. Later she was transferred to a cryo-chamber (I'm guessing that's what it is.)
5. She's kept alive as a part of the experiment, which they obviously did not want to can until the last part of the game. At that point, she is kept alive because her clone army's already taken over the facility and nobody can really stop her.
6. I'm not sure Alma is the mother. She certainly does not look old enough to be the woman portrayed in the last nightmare sequence. She looked ~18 when she was released. One of the laptops mentions that the mother is a "strong psychic", but that would not necessarily make it Alma. I walked away with the impression that Alma was paxton's / mainchar's sister.
7. He was trying to unleash Alma. that's why he didn't destroy the reactors and get the f... out of the facility. "It is the nature of men to create monsters, and it is the nature of monsters to destroy their makers"

1. Game creators probably seen this in x-files and think it will be cool to add this people eating to game called fear... well what i remember he gets some protein or something he need much energy to control army of clones... Btw i dont like how easy Patton died i think there will be some fight and u just shoot him in the head.

| Spoiler: | ok, the end was great! At the end I was really excited about everything. I don't really know how to explain this, but everyone who finished this game knows what I am talking about
I did like the way you shoot Patton. I was really like: "wtf, he's dead", and that was a positive turn. I didn't like those "things" coming out those dark holes. |
