Well to be honest, they all knew how shitty it was long before it was released so I don't think this would make a difference for them. The've just resigned themselves to the fact that they have a subpar piece of hardware, and they either try to sell it or stay with it until the next gen

My brother in law who opted for the x1 on launch day (only because of haloderp) rather than a ps4 like I did, is now feeling very angry haha. Feel bad for the guy, but I told him to get a ps4 if he really wanted a console.

They said exact same thing, 8 months. What changed? Nothing has changed. They could have easily disabled required Kinect for some games and developers would already take advantage of that but that never happened.

Titanfall was below expectations (EA still hasn't published any numbers) even though they went all-in by bundling it basically for free with new Xbox Ones and supressing info on the Xbox360 version.
Kinect Sports Rivals failed hard (Metascore: 61). It was like the only Kinect game they had and are gonna have for a while Laughing
Thus they unbundled Kinect, and now sell the weaker hardware for the exact same price as Sony. What a brilliant strategy. "This time its gonna work, right? right????!!"

Instead of all those little fuck-yous to early adopters they should just bite the sour apple and dump that underperforming brick. Then make an upgraded Xbox One with better hardware than PS4. Completely backwards compatible of course, 720p for first gen Xbox Ones and 1080p for second gen. Maybe his will be viable by 2015 when they realize that none of the current and upcoming strategies can turn that ship around. Reduce the price of the old Xbox One to 299$ and bring out the new one at or slightly above PS4 price.
