'Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends' introduces entirely new levels of fun
to the refreshing gameplay vanquishing swarms of enemies with mighty
warriors found in 'Dynasty Warriors 8.' In story mode, where you can
immerse yourself in the vivid tales of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms,
it is now possible to play as the mighty warrior 'Lu Bu,' and embark on a
journey that depicts his way of life. Additionally, many new hypothetical
scenarios to existing Romance of the Three Kingdoms battles have been
added, as well as new playable characters, weapons types, growth/speedrun
elements, and more! What's more, a revamped Ambition Mode and completely
new Challenge Mode offer whole new ways to enjoy the 'Dynasty Warriors 8'
universe.

Loading to main menu takes nearly 2 minutes. Can't skip any of the fucking videos. Can't change resolution (have native 1680x1050). No matter what i chose in the config.exe, it starts in some 640x480 resolution
Ingame config i can only chose maximum resolution of 1280x1024 And ingame menu has no dropdown menu for resolution, so you have to click for next resolution right, confirm, click right, confirm,...
Hope those cunt developers go bankrupt.
Will still keep the iso for a bit, hopefully a DWfix will come, as i am in the mood for that kind of game
Oh they have great coders... for console games. Some of my all-time favourite games are from Japanese developers (hello, Capcom? Squaresoft? Namco? Konami?) but it seems they just don't have many WindowsPC-oriented skills.
well they used to have great coders, but recently japanese games are lacking even on consoles.
the new final fantasy games are the best example, what used to be milestones in game design during snes and psx era turned into this shit...
You know what's really sad, this isn't even the first Dynasty Warriors game they've ported to PC. I think this is first PC port that's been localized outside of Japan, but they've ported many games in the series before, even Dynasty Warriors 7, which should be using the same engine.
Been playing this like crazy for the last week or so since I had no internet. I just... I know it's not a very good game when it comes to quite a few things, but I haven't played a DW game in ages so it doesn't feel samey to me. I'm amazed how well put together of a product this is. There's just soooo much in it to unlock and what not. Missions also feel different enough even when they repeat across campaigns. And then there's the Lu Bu campaign... oh my, that alone makes this game worth it. It just feels so satisfying murdering everyone - literaly everyone, like multiple armies and all their generals - (wait, correction: making everyone retreat!) with the monster that is Lu Bu!
Koei Tecmo has announced that Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires will be released in North America on January 27th and in Europe on January 30th. Also revealed is the fact that the game will now be coming to the PC alongside the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3 versions of the game.
Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires not only allows 83 playable characters to choose from but also the ability to create your own original fighter using a multitude of customization options and, new to this iteration of the Empires series, the ability to customize the looks of banners, horses, and basic officers..
Coming to PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Xbox One on February 27, 2015 (EU) and February 24, 2015 (US).
DYNASTY WARRIORS 8 Empires focuses deeply on the chaotic lives of the warriors as their fateful decisions affect the rise and fall of the nations they bravely fight for. Players can select from 83 unique characters, or create their own original character with a plentitude of options through the edit function. The visual customization goes further with the newly implemented ability to customize their horses, banners and "normal" officers.
In the returning Empire mode, players can select from one of many distinct roles which are best suited to them or to experience the epic history and its outcomes through a different methodology of warfare in replay. Whether choosing from Liu Bei, a provincial ruler forced to wander the land in search of a home or Lu Bu, an egotistical warrior who moves from one betrayal to another in search of his own glory, players are swept up in the drama of warfare.
Courageous warriors trudge through Ancient China with its vast plains, bleak wastelands, narrow ravines and immense castles as they slash through enemy lines. In DYNASTY WARRIORS 8 Empires, warriors must fight against not only enemies but also the forces of nature as the changing seasons bring new elements to the more than 40 battlefields affected by seasons and the passing of time.
